it’s okay to have little feeling. a friend of mine is like that… he says he hasn’t cried in years & i believe him.
as long as you recognize that there are others in this world & respect them i think you’re alright. it’s when you use your detachment to hurt others that you enter into the wrong. it’s probably a gift that you don’t judge others based on emotion…

but if you want to get more in touch with your feelings, listen to music or watch a movie that moves you.

& tho your mom loves you, it’s probably difficult for her to say it for one reason or another. parents are people too, try not to let her mistakes effect you too much.

also “caring” means different things to different people. beware tho, if you tell the world you don’t care about it. it likely ceases to care about you… not a very smart move in my opinion.

i doubt he thinks you’re “inane”, otherwise he wouldn’t have married you & your relationship wouldn’t be as successful as it is. if he keeps complaining about the loudness of your voice, maybe you should be a bit more concious about using your inside voice… my roomate starts to speak really loudly when she gets excited about something, and sometimes it comes off as obnoxious. it actually makes me wince too. it’s not what she is saying that’s annoying, it’s her decibal level. i’m still working on trying to help her out in that department but we’ll see… lol

do ittt! that would be so awesome & a great story to tell your grandkids. you’ll have to work hard obviously but it will be soooo worth it.

well you’re obviously a writer… & a good one at that =) maybe you could join a creative writing group at your school… or start one up if hasn’t been established already.

you’ve probably been told this before bu you’ll feel a lot better if you keep a steady diet at like 1200-1500 cals. you’ll lose more weight too.

it just takes a lot of self control. interestingly, even more than it does to starve, but it will be worth it in the end… =3

there’s a lot of good advice on here, but i will give you my two-cents.

it’s interesting, i’ve learned that a lot of people will block whatever message you are trying to deliver if it is not spoken in a manner in which they can relate to. this usually means, that in order to communicate (especially using spoken word) one must “simplify”. not only that, but attempt to use the same language as the person one is speaking with.

this means that each person you speak to, you will converse with a bit differently. the same message spoken to your grandmother should be delivered quite differently to the gangsta kid on the street (if you want to be taken seriously, that is).

get used to the idea that you are dynamic and constantly changing. people say “don’t change, just be yourself” and that is silliness because by being what you have always been you will get the results that you have always gotten.

i shouldn’t say America as a whole but (part of) the American government.

i feel (hope) that these homophobic attitudes are apt to change in the future. i’m predicting (hoping) that homophobia is the new racism… & that America will follow most of the other modern countries (behind as usual) & ditch their conservative attitudes.
