I have been in a similar place as you concerning faith. My own is based on Christianity but is very, how should I put it.. nontraditional. Like you, raised in church but no longer going. Here’s one post that explains a bit.. http://help.com/post/221520-the-count…
My friend the biggest misconception is that we “loose” our faith which is not true. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior He is with us always. You need to read your bible and especially the promises such as “I will never leave you or forsake you” Its kinda like saying I lost my car keys. You loose nothing friend if anything you may be running in the wrong direction at the moment. Pick up the Word and read I can promise that His Holy Spirit will speak to you.
no i don’t a feel like discussing any thing but what do you believe? is there a God going by you pic yes but whats God how do you get in to heaven is there a hell is there different levels of both or either \
just basically what do you believe
I visited that site, it is nice and true. There are answers of different questions available on that site. You can look for guidance there. but if u still wanna ask some questions from me, u r most welcome.
I am from Pakistan and it is morning here. If u r going to bed then Have nice dreams!!
and i m adding u as friend u also accept that and we’ll talk later. I dont know when u’ll be online
Oh i would also like to know where are you from. If you don’t mind me asking? On that note i am going to head to bed. I don’t know what time it is where your from but i hope tht you have a nice day or night.
Yes we say Him Allah but there is just a little difference in our and your God, we say that there is no son of Allah (God) but u belive that Jesus is the son of God. We dont deny any Prophet, and we believe that Jesus is just the beloved Prophet of God not a son.
So I watched the parts I think you may be referring to–and I can see where they are coming from, to a point: some of the choices for the dates/symbols in Christian calendars correspond to astrological times and Egyptian belief. However, I am not sure this is result of a conspiracy to hide the truth as much as a matter of many cultures intrepreting the same occurences in different ways.
The confluence of beliefs does not neseccarily mean that the Christianity then must be untrue.
And the presence of prototypes in the OT is a specific literary device that actually is seen as a way a legitimizing figures rather than taking away from them.
In both cases, the argument depends upon modern, western values: particularly the value that for something to be true, it must be independent and original. There is no historical, cultural appreciation for the beauty and truth that myth holds and has held for many cultures.
Plagiarism/copying has only gotten a bad rep in the past 200 or so years. Check out Shakespeare’s sources, for example.
Again, I am not sure this makes sense– I think I am completely exhuasted– I’m going to go to sleep– maybe we can pick this up another time…
do you believe that it is possible that the christian god (God) is the same as the Islam god (Allah) i think thats how you spell his name… and could the stories truthful or not about Jesus and Mohammed be about the same person just a different translation and a different name?
