I think you are very lucky to have so many kids in your life. Christmas doesn’t always have to be about presents. Your kids are young, shouldn’t cost to much to make them happy. Believe in your kids, all they want for christmas is to spend the day with the person they love most. Their Mother

Dear Amanda,
I’m sorry you have to go through this around the holidays. When i was your age i made a very poor decision. I decided to work and help my single mother with house income and neglected school. I am 24 years old. I am struggling to get back into school. This world is very realistic, without a degree you won’t be able to get any job any where no matter where you are. I know i might not sound much help, and you probably have many reasons why you need to work. Don’t walk down the path like i did, take every advantage to go to college and finish. That is the only way to survive in this world. There are to many people out there to compete with, without the simple fact that we can finish school, there is nothing out there for us but mcdonalds.

Dear readers,
I appreciate all the suggestions you have given me. I wish keeping the house is an option… No matter how hard me and my mom both work we can’t keep the house. Some one really smart once said that what ever hardship you run into in your life there is always a better day ahead. I believe that, but it still breaks my heart that i fail to give my family a christmas this year. I failed as an daughter to provide and protect. My little brother is turning 14 this 29th. I can’t imagine how unlucky he must feel to have me as a sister when i can’t even afford a nice gift for him. I am begining to loose hope in their is a god. Why don’t good people get a break? I’m not talking about myself… I cannot catagorize myself as a good person, but my mom is. I’ve ran out of options, and silly enough, the only thing left is to write about it, and hope that someone can help.
