Hi, Im not for sure how this works so I am posting this here. My story from the beginning of my bad luck. I have never had to ask for help before, cause I have always been able to work and done so. Almost a year ago I found out I had a fracture in my back from osteoperosis that I also found that I have. At that time I also found I have arthritis really bad in my back. So I have a lot of back pain and cant work now. I have signed up for disability but with no luck yet ofcourse the system is a very long drawn out one. I had my 401 k that i lived on for a while, and a little bit of savings which is all gone now and has been for a while. I am 40 years old, i met a wonderful man and totally fell in love with him and his two children. He moved in with me in May and was working part time driving. He stopped driving so he could stay home to help me, it was to much for me to take care of the children who are 5 and 6 year old boys. he was out of work till about a month ago and started working for a temp service making $8 an hour. We finally did get food stamps thank goodness we were starved for some good food so now atleast we get to eat. food banks are wonderful! they really do help out a lot but not much on the meat and you can only go once a month. We now have meat! thank you lord! ok here is the problem with me not being able to work and him not making much and wasnt making anything for so long, we are so far in the hole I just dont know where to turn any more. I have over draft on my checking account and now it is full i cant pay any more bills, which are all a month behind with shutoff warnings. I have a car payment yes, and im afraid i will loose my car if i dont get payments caught up. and he has to have the car to drive to work. His exwife was a druggie and beat him up and mistreated the children, along with selling all thier toys, games, everything. so when they came here they had nothing. I have signed up for christmas help, so they will be recieving something for christmas thank god for those programs! otherwise they would not get anything for christmas. If we could ever just get caught up on everything we might be able to make it, but if not, we may end up loosing our house and everything. And then again we might not because he has a messed up knee where his wife had hit him with a car and also needs surgery on his knee, im not for sure how much longer he is going to be able to work till he has to get the surgery. and we have no insurance and dont qualify for medicaid. so im not for sure whats going to happen there either. i am just so lost now and never been here. I am very happy that i have found the man i have in my life now and the two wonderful boys that are learning a lot now. they are both kind of slow because of everything they went through but there learning, they now call me mom which i love i might add! the lord led me to them because i think i needed them in my life as much as they needed me! I’m not for sure if something like this will work but at this point I am desperate so asking for any help I can get from anyone. Thank you for reading and god bless you all!
