  Hey chin up I am almost 40 and I go through feeling like this too. And then there are days when everything just flows and everyone gets along just fine and every one is happy. Just last weekend we had 6 couples joining us for a party and all but one ended up canceling because they were offered “better”plans. Some were COOL? about it and called and told me what they were doing and some just lied. But when you live in the same neighborhood and your babysitters all have to be home aorund the same time its kid of hard to hide your return home at midnight! EH GAHDs.
  I guess what I am trying to say is it normal people crap going on wiht you. Yur friend in the hospital is grateful that you were with her. She probably could on ly handle one friend at a time and sometimes people are going through things or need to talk to someone alone. Dont take things personally. You never know what is really going on. May the girls who went to dinner had been fihting and needed to make up? You know what Im saying or am I just babbling incoherently>

  Okay so you got rejected I really think you need to try to reach out to different people in your dance class. There are probably others whoare feelingthe same way as you do. If I counted thenumber of times I have been rejected I’d be a millionare but I have so many great friends who have stood by me becasue I tookt hat risk. Its a hard thing to do but every timeyou do it it gets easier and you need to stop worrying about what others thinka nd worry about what it is that YOU want

  OKay back to the main point-
  NO I do not believe we are given only a few feelings. I think we have them all from the moment we are born and we are taught by our culture to embrace some and repress others
  
  I am often misunderstood because in situations where I feel uncomfortable, I LAUGH. Many people like an authority figure take this as disrespect but I just can’t help it.
  
  Then take social status into account or how your parents raised you. If your family life was great but you were poor you envy the easy life of the rich but relish your family life. If your family life was the pits but you are wealth you envy the poor family for their unconditional love but maybe can’t understand how they can “live like that.” I think we are all searching for the perfection of emotion/balance in our lives and emotion is the only way to know if you are balanced?

  you know before you start putting actual checmicals in your body…. sometimes something as simple as a cough drop or a piece of hard candy can be the trick. Bring some to class with you and pop em when you feel likeyour to obored. Sometime s its enoiugh of a physical distractionto be sucking on something that makes paying attention a little easier. I used to give all my adhd kids hard candy espeically during tests and thier scores went up!

  okay littlenick not sure what that has to do with educationg others on the beliefs of their neighbors? Don’t you think that if they were educated they would be less to judge or condemn you but more like, sorry, I don;t believe what you believe but respect you for that belief?
  and what religion has people who are prostitues, drunk cheaters and miscreants? Sounds to me, they are just trying to blame something else for their own behaviors.

  I agree with the above posts… aslo to answer your ending questions.. why should you feel guilty about standing up for yourself? Honey, hate to say it but you are way too good for this man…. he uses, abuses and f78cks you and you still care? Youare NEVER going to change him no matter how much you think you could be the one…. it is not going to happen. You need to take a deep breath, reconnect with kids your own age, start hanging with them. Set your sights on college and start figuring out where YOU want to be in 10 years. No one is going to do this fo ryou and only you can do it. Almost every woman on this place will tell you first loves are hard to end but once you do end it and let it go and move on… you relize a lot of things..
  1.) you learned alot abot what you DO NOT want in a life ling partner
  2.) You feel better now that you have let yourself be free of him.

  yes i believe it allows for understanding of what motivates others. Why does a strict muslim woman where…. ( don;t know the right terms please forgive) A black scarf over her head or even stricter ones where a black nun outfit? Why do some Nuns where habits and others do not…. why do Chrisdtian woman traditionally where white and Indian woman where red when getting married? What is abudda? Who is …etc…… tradtions explinations I believe the more youknow about someones background, the more you are able to accept them for who and what they are and while studying them… one always finds that while so different, they are all so much the same therefore, we are all people of different faiths but as much as we are different, we are the same.

  yeah I know what you are saying. My hubby whose job is very stressful gets phone calls, emails all the time now His life is constently interupted. If we did not have a blackberry, we could ignore the phone. I would not say all technology has made or lives easier unless youmean LAZY. We are becoming a mundane sedate society and as melisa stated we are becoming more and more unhealthy. Since this crazy storm and huricane in OHIO, no tv has been a blessing to my family what fun we are all having together working together to get debree out of the yard and no television or phone calls to interrupt YIPEE
