Well, instead, what if everyone knew not to report said post, and then it would disappear. Because mods have more things to worry about them scam posts.

Nope, its not as simple as the post just disappearing. It goes a little like this;
1: Poster makes post.
2: You edit post
3: You don’t report the post to us.
4: Other people report the post, along with reporting you for your edit.
5: Mod comes along, reads the post, and takes action on the OP.
6: Mod then has to audit you, to see if you have been editing other posts.
7: Mod then has to make decision what to do with you. And then ban/warn/shout the person.
8: Mod then has to mark of the reports, of which half were not even needed. But unfortunately created by you simply editing a post which you didn’t have to do.
So what have we learnt here today?
Simply report the post in question, and wait for a mod to deal to it. Nothing else. Easy enough.
Yeah, I know, protocol. I know many things. I’ve almost been banned a few times, relatively it’s like dodging traffic. I learned that it’s good to try to be friends with the mods, so, here I am sam.
I don’t care about the report, that sophie needs some tough love thrown at her sometimes, but I’ll cut down on the profanity and do it through shouts next time Mr. Sam. I thought you were new. You seem like an OK guy, not like the grade A jerk Ken. No offense Ken if your reading this.
Cause I’ve never seen you before, which means you’ve probably never seen me. I’m not the most popular guy anymore, but I used to be King. No joking man.
