Yea Jenn, I like this help.com however I find followups to profound statements disapointing..Hope your doing fine.. I am wainting for my new running shoes today…..Hope to hear from ya
As for guitar, well I’m a real beginner, got a cheapo acoustic to see if I liked it -a Squire Fender which I actually really like. A little later when I realised I loved it I bought an electric guitar on ebay, its a fretlight, which is probably deeply uncool but I dunno anyone who plays guitar so I figured it would help me to learn, altho its a bit of a gimmick i think cos I seem to learn best from internet lessons and tabs. The amp is a little marshall one I borrowed from a friend who used to play bass. However I’m finding I use the acoustic most cos it stays in tune easier and its handy to just pick it up any old time and mess about with.

jenn, we seem to have some things in common… Its funny but I just wrote about pink floyd…I play a lot of there music on guitar and crowds love it.. regarding the lead notes david gilmoure uses its all based on the 5 note pentatonic scale, maybe that will help you nail the solo. My training right now is endurance runs… I want to lower my weight and build up endurance.. I have been known to go for 3-4 hour runs, sometimes back to back..I would guess I am doing 100 mile weeks give or take… Some speedwork, but that will come in february.. Also that training tech. you mentioned, I am intrested but never heard of..lactate? I also am doing mountain bike runs of 1-3 hours a day… rob
You know whatever I do I do it with passion so running and guitar music are equal passions.. You know it takes the intensity out of both.. Like you said counterpoint.. Running keeps the body more relaxed to play music and music takes the edge off intense running sessions… It also helps you sing much better.. Anyway what is your training sessions like.. Rob
