2008-01-11 07:41:33 on THE WORLD’S GREATEST NOVEL HAS YET TO BE WRITTEN…but, by whom ?
that a horseshoe crab was all but Under my feet. It’s spiny tail facing menacingly upward warning me to come no further. as I bent over to get a better look at this prehistoric beast, I noticed something shiny on the mid section of his tail. I bent down to get a closer look, and it lurched it’s tail upward as if to say “enguard!” It nearly lifted it’s armor-like shell off the ground in defiance. Slowly, I got down on my knees and inched forward. I was amazed to see that what had caught my eye appeared to be a ring. carefully I lifted it up by It’s shell and turned it on it’s back. Clearly, It was opposed to this plan, although in this position, it was rendered helpless after racheting it’s tail back and forth a few times and surrendering. It was then that I realized that this was no average ring. But this was no average evening. It appeared to be platinum, and in the center a magnificient square diamond. My girlfriend could have told you exactly wht the “cut , color, and clarity ” were. The 3 most important “c’s” of diamond hunting. You can likely guess what was on her mind. Can you guess what was on mine? “Run, Run away now, run away and don’t look back!” I wondered how this prehistoric beast might have come across this unusual find? Had it been present on the evening of a couple’s expected engagement, and the nervous groom, fumbling in his pocket for what seemed like a lifetime, made the mistake of a lifetime, letting his lifetime savings sift through his disappointed fingers? Or was it something completely different?

Leo Buscaglia is great! You are right he is a gentle spirit. Have you ever read anything by Wayne Dyer? I remember quite a few years back I read something he wrote that struck me and I knew it was important but I couldn’t understand it then. I only understand it marginally now. He would say (of those who frustrate you, etc) “Send them love” I couldn’t understand how you could send them love, even metaphysically, when you despise their actions. It wasn’t until about five years ago, when I was training to become a massage therapist and learned Reiki–that I began to understand How to “send them love”. To me it is the intention–for me when I work with someone, I set an intention that the Will of God be done for that individual–whatever they may be searching for , whatever is troubling them, that they begin to be shown the light. From my own experience, I know that growth can often be painful, but when I look back on it, I can always see, with hindsight being a beautiful thing, that the master Weaver had a plan. If it doesn’t Kill you it makes you stronger. I think what is hard, is Just allowing things to be as they are, and accepting them “as is”. Especially things we have no ability to change. Water always flow around the rock in the middle of the stream–it doesn’t stop and wait for the rock to move. It doesn’t even think twice. It lets the rock remain, and it alters its path momentarily ,then continues on. Soldier on, We Must!

Felicity,it’s true, about the ‘walls’ you speak of. It is a hard one to get your head around at first. I think, but once you do, it can become a habit. But, I do think that it is in our nature to search, and I don’t think we become truly enlightened until we are on our death bed. I read a great Book last summer by Elizabeth Kubler Ross, the one who did all of the research on Life after death. Can’t remembner the name of the book , but this one was her memoire. It was really interesting. What she learned from all of these dying individuals, is that WE ARE HERE TO GROW. I don’t think we stop growing until we die. I really don’t.

I was at a parenting meeting yesterday at my son’s school and she talked about mirroring–how our children’s behavior is a direct reflection of our own. They model their behavior after ours. I know that this is true. Set an Example. “Do what I say, Not what I do” never worked. I am certain that I am an avid reader because I watched my Mother settling her self down each day to read. I don’t ever remember her telling me that I should read, or that anything you want to know you can find in a book. No. I just watched her read and read and read. And I looked at her collection of books on the shelf–on the most varied of topics that you can imagine–Such is my style today.

Cudos! one of my favorites, too!! In fact I call upon it regularly….remind myself of it often, and just sent it to my sister in an email yesterday.

Creative License! Use all your creativity to make it sound believable. It is called Science FICTION, No? why not write out a couple of different scenarios, and choose the best one–you’ll know it when you have written it–maybe just free write, free associate for a while just regurgitating scientific notions that you know enough about to alter, and see what you come up with…Observe how things move in space, and see what you see. Observe the world around you, and maybe you’ll see a variation on a theme…..
2008-01-10 11:10:47 on i’ve lost my will to write, i genrally write good poetry.
How About Trying to Free Write? or Automatic writing? Just put down whatever is in your head, and let go of the outcome. Write about your frustration with your writer’s block and what that feels like…Write about frustration. Just Write. Whatever comes to mind just write it down. If you feel uninspired write about feeling uninspired and frustration, and the like. And try to ignore the the editor in your head–the one who’s keeping you from expressing the poetry that’s just resting inside. You could also try meditation. Just lay down and breath.Focus on the in breath, and focus on the out breath. When you focus on your breath, you can not be focusing on anything else at the same time. You just watch. You be the Observer. Every good writer is a good observer, It’s true! Silence your mind. If you can practice allowing your mind to be empty, there will be more room for Good ideas. Another option would be just allowing yourself to be unproductive. There really is nothing wrong with that.Everyone is prone to periods of malaise at times. And times when you are just not as productive as you have had the potential of in the past. It is like exercise. When you are away from your routine for a period of time, when you return, you become stronger.
Remember: “This too shall Pass.”

You have nothing to lose. What would happen if you stepped out and attempted the things you wish to do? One of two things will happen. One, you will succeed; or Two, you will fail. These are the odds, no matter what the project. We must risk failure if we wish to succeed. This is a hard and fast truth. Take a deep breath and begin. Encourage yourself! Write down all of the reasons Why taking the first step in situations you have been avoiding, would be beneficial. You deserve to feel connection and you deserve to step out into the world and enjoy what it has to offer. It is a wide open world with so many possibilities! You can reinvent yourself as many times as you like.
There are NO rules.
It is Undoubtedly True.
Whatever you consider,
or dream about becoming,
Whatever you wish you were doing,
but instead are avoiding
Whatever your heart desires to do
Begin It!
Begin It!
or about it you’ll stew.
You’ll Never know What you’re Capable of
Where your skills are best suited
What You’re REALLY made of
Until You take a deep Breath
Take a deep Breath Right Now
step into new Territory
To Yourself make a vow
For the Journey of a thousand miles Begins with one step
and the next one that follows is easier yet
and the next one
and next one will invariably flow
from a place called your courage
you are getting to know.
And this place called courage
you must search for to find
It resides behind Fear,
In the Back of your mind.
You can get them to trade places
You’re in charge of your thoughts
Decide which one makes YOUR choices
It won’t be for Naught.
A whole wide world awaits you
Possibilities abound
for the courage you misplaced
once was lost
but now is found
Celebrate its return
Invite it for lunch!
For Breakfast
and Dinner,
Invite it a Bunch
Let it move into the front of your mind
Begin It! Begin it!
It’s about time.
Everyone of us is worthy. We all have someting special to give to the world. Commit yourself to sharing it, and take a chance. The truth is, you need no one’s approval to speak your piece. And the world would be a very Boring place if only a few points of view were represented. Your individuality is your Gift, and gifts are for sharing ;)
“You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’ You must do the thing which you think you can not do.”
-Eleanor Roosevelt

There is duality in everything, you see! Finding the good in the difficult is a skill, and you are blessed to have discovered it so soon in your life. It is a gift, that you have now shared with lots and lots of people. The silver lining! There always is one, although we may not always see it at the moment. Forcing ourselves to is a great exercise. I learned that lesson from my neice who was suffering greatly when her parent divorced. She was overcome by all of the sadness, and a therapist told her to write down the good things each day. She told my sister to ask her each day, “What good things happened today?” It got her to start putting some of her energy towards focusing on the good. It is not easy, but when we make it a habit, It shifts our attention, and starts us looking for what good that there is! There. I just reminded myself of an important memory which really had an efect on me, which Is something I should have reminded myself last week, when I was focusing on something that I have no ability whatsoever to change…..I need to remind myself daily.

Have you looked into financial aid? If it is His Will for you to have this blessing, He will surely bestow it. His will is always the right thing for us, at the right time. He may close on door, but open another. As my Grandmother said…”If it was meant to be, It will be…” Do whatever You can, though to help yourself, and he may show you in your search–he may lead you to the right source of information, If it is His will. Blessings in your research….
