Hi! Read your post about leo and wayne.Dr.Wayne Dyers’Erroneous zones’is my second Bible. He wrote it in he 70’s ,I read it in the 80’s and apply it to my life to this day.The others I’ve skimmed through,Not because they are not good, because I’m sure they are,but that one sold million s and is still popular today.Watched him on pbs talk of the Tao.His latter books are more religious.Sorry to babble on he’s my# 1 mentor.Leo I’ve seen more on pbs than read.I’m from the midwest too,the heartland. What is reiki? I may look it up….Friends? Friends.

Good piece, booksaboutpeace. Acceptance, letting go of the need to control, being happy in the midst of the melodramas of life…its challenging. What’s your blog tentatively called?

Well, one thing is for sure, We are here to grow, and grow we must! Knowing what your challenges are and defining them as such, is always a good start, I think. With meditation, you’ll raise your awareness of times when you are interpreting or assuming, as you say, and you can decide whether it is in your best interest or not. If you are an analytically minded individual, it may be in your nature to do so. Let’s say you analyze an event or comment to death and come up with some underpinning. It may or may not be so, but, I think the bottom line is whether or not we let it go, or allow it to be, as it is. Acceptance. I think it’s one of the hardest lessons to learn in life. As far as people go, They may never change, and our best bet is to accept them as they are, Warts and all as “They” say. (Advice to myself, emerging, even as I type it…) Writing is Powerful. The blog I write is so far, not a daily thing. I write when I am moved to do so,usually by some experience or event that I need to work through somehow. It always clarifies my thoughts and does get them out of my head, making room for emptiness, which is a much better state for my mind. And since we are blessed with paper and computers, beautiful journals,(one of my buying weaknesses!) and smoothly gliding ink delivery implements, we have many a place to rest and store our meandering thoughts……

You have a great voice in writing. Thank you for your response. That’s great that you are going to have a blog, would love to know more about it. I really can relate alot about being sensitive to others reactions and states. It is one of my greatest challenges to stop interpreting, assuming, and taking in too much others reactions to the world around them. I deal with kids alot, so I agree with your shoutout ending sentence, too, to learn from who have come before (reading the mystics, great thinkers etc) and from the young. I am really trying to concentrate on trust and patience. Hope to talk to you more or at least read your blog. Peace.
