  Hi,
  A meaningful life is different for everybody, you need to look within yourself because that where you’ll find all the answers.
  
  23 years on this planet, I don’t consider that to be a waste of life, you have learned a great deal in that time, taught a great many people a thing or two and touched a lot of lives so how can you say you have wasted your life so far. Its all in the way you look at life, there is always a positive side to all things in life including death and nobody just falls into their life’s true path.
  
  Children that were born in the 80’s and the 90’s are what the spiritual and physic people call the “Children of the Light,” “Millennium Children,” and “Indigo Children.”
  
  Everybody at some point in their life will ask the same questions you are, some just do it earlier than others. When its all said and done, we’re all trying to get to the same place, its just that we all start the journey at different ages and stages of our lives, some choose the religious path , some choose the spiritual path, some choose a different path all together and others choose to ignore it and stay on the same path. The end result is the same, wanting to become one with or connecting with the higher power. There is no right or wrong path or way to get there because the journey is different for everyone.
  
  So it appears to me that you need to be asking yourself the hardest question you will ever ask yourself, “Who am I?” It’s not as easy to answer as you might think because its not about the surface stuff that you initially identify yourself with, e.g I’m a daughter, sister, post grad student, loner, secretive, etc.
  Its about the stuff you keep hidden especially from yourself, the stuff that secretly drives you, causes you to to act and react the way you do, etc and you won’t like some of the stuff you find but always remember, these things have helped you get to this point in your life so be appreciative of them at least. Once you can answer the question with brutal honesty then your journey truly begins.
  
  The process of connecting with self will not only help you to identify what you don’t want it will also help to identify your hidden desires, talents, wants and needs. It will help you to be the person you truly want to be and help to put on your true life path.
  
  I hope this helps in some small way.
  
  P.S. No matter what you discover about yourself, your beliefs and your life path, nobody has the right to dictate that your wrong, just because it doesn’t fit in with their image of you or their beliefs. Trust in yourself.

  Its nobody’s decision but your own, you are the only one that has to live with the consequences of the actions and nobody ever has the right to tell you if your choices are right or wrong because come the end of the day its about you, you and only you decide your life fate.

  If your friend is keeping you at a distance she obviously has her reasons, maybe she is trying to protect you or shield you from what is going on with her or maybe she wants to deal with this stuff on her own, in her own way.
  You should just be there for your friend to support her when she needs you but outside that let her be, let her have her privacy, you know there are somethings you just don’t always want to share, even with your best friend.

  Karma dictates: That what you put out there comes back to you later on, ten fold.
  Affairs always get found out about at some point and when it happens you’ll have no one else to blame but yourself for not being honest with your husband.

  You should respect yourself and your husband enough to be honest with him, if you can’t do that then get out of the relationship and have your affair, what gives you the right to think you can treat someone like that, you wouldn’t like it if he was doing that behind your back. Show him some respect

• I’m having trouble at home…
  

  It sounds like you have started to work some things out in your head. Whether you move out on your own or share a rental place with friends that want to move out of home too, you need to do what is best for you.
  
  When you decide to talk to your mum, maybe try to do it without your step father being around even if it means going somewhere else to talk, like a park or talking to her when he’s at work because come the end of the day its not about building any sort of common ground with him yet, its about rebuilding the relationship with your mother and when it comes to fixing your relationship with your mother, his opinion or prejudiced means nothing.
  
  I hope things work out for you in the future and the relationship with your mother becomes stronger and more valued by both of you. Don’t let your step father get you down, you can deal with him at a later date when your more sure of yourself. I’m glad we could help in some way.
