You are not alone. There are many women just like you who are frustrated - looking for intimacy and physical connection. I would encourage you to seek out a Christian professional - a sex therapist … an excellent resource I can recommend to you is training materials for Laypeople called “Healthy Sexuality.” It is available through the American Association of Christian Counselors. (Don’t let that scare you). You can find them online at http://aacc.net/courses/biblical-coun…
I can recommend all of their materials to you and believe you will find them to be helpful and insightful.
I believe that your biggest problem in not sexual. It is that there is a dynamic missing in your ability to communicate and connect with your husband. It is good to know that you have an emotional connection, but I do not believe you are yet able to share with him as openly as you would like.
If there is a problem with size or shape, you may want to ask him to go in with you to talk to a trusted family physician. Be careful not to be insulting - there is nothing more sensitive to a man than his “manhood.” Just reassure him and tell him that you need some help. Again, professional Christian sex therapy is available to you - even if he might be willing to watch the AACC videos with you. There is nothing obscene in them, it is all instructional and aimed at the heart.
I want you to know that God loves you and understands the problems of our lives. Take these problems to Him. He really does want to lead you through this. He is the greatest counselor … ask Him (Read Romans chapter 8).
