• My twenty four year old son will not leave his room.
  

  Boy this is a hard one. I feel for you. My daughter is 22 and is still living with me but she is 7 months pregnant and her fiance’ lives with us and he pays rent etc. She’s been sickly since she’s been pregnant but says that she hopes to work after the baby is born. So we shall see. You need “tough love”. google it. If there is any way you can get involved in it, you should. I belonged when my son was young and out of control, not doing anything I wanted him to. Anyway, they are a good support and will help you have your son move out. You will feel that you aren’t alone and that you are doing the right thing. You not having him move out will lead to disatrous results for him. You just have to remember that having him move out will be the best thing for HIM. good luck, I’ll say prayers. I might be facing the same thing.

  Dear BurntUmber, You are darling. My daughter is beautiful just like you. She has
  always had high anxiety. She went through a period when she thought that she was ugly and fat (she was thin), and like you couldn’t leave the house. She wanted to go to therapy. As it turns out the therapist was great. She went through a desensitization process, and it really worked. Sometimes medication is called for. I hate to say that but it is true. My neice couldn’t leave her house for 3 months. Finally with therapy and a med. for anxiety, she was able to leave her house and lead a normal life. Ten years later, she is doing great. she went off the anxiety meds a few years ago, but all in all is quite well. Some anti-depressants make people manic. This just
  means you need to go on a different one until you find the right one. I’m not talking about you, but if I had the choice between never leaving my house or taking a little pill for a while, I’d take the pill. Good luck sweety,

  If he’s cheating on you, you’ll just know it. He’ll deny it and says he loves only you, and that you are crazy for thinking he would ever cheat. But deep in your heart you know it. You don’t feel as loved, he doesn’t make love to you as often as he used to or has stopped completely. He’s on a new exercise regimin. You feel that something has changed in the relationship. Hang up calls. Not letting you see phone/cell phone bills, or he starts having them sent to work. He may even tell you you don’t need to know where he is going all the time. I knew practically the
  second my husband was cheating. I found a phone bill with a number on it several times. I called it, and a man answered, so I forgot about it. It was his lovers
  husband. I denied it and believed all his lies for two years; from the time my son was 3months old till he was 2. But then he got careless and I found a letter. Ladies you’ll just know in your heart. Just trust your heart.

  Well the above could be true, he may want to be anti-social, but most kids
  don’t want to be. The other thing, and hopefully this isn’t the problem, is that
  there is something wrong with him. He might be very depressed and there might
  be a reason for his depression. You might mention to your folks that you are
  concerned because he doesn’t talk with anyone, and you are worried something is
  going on.
