I am male, born in 1972, Married to a wonderful Lady and have a smart son with her. But, my life is unraveling around me.
I was in an accident in 1999, leaving me with permanent chronic and severe pain, which led to opiate abuse, but trying to control the amount just compounded things as I found out I was Bi-Polar on top of all this!
Now as of Dec. 2007, I am a convicted felon for simply defending myself when I was attacked by a drunk and high person that was just trying to prove he was a “MAN”, he said he was going to, and tried to kill me, so I pull a gun, and ONLY I go to jail (remember I am also disabled!), now I am serving 2 years felony probation, and this really stinks.
I have been hospitalized before for suicidal thoughts, and now all of that was behind me, until now. The bad thoughts are there again, but I know not to act on them, and what really is my own hell, is that no one in the whole Florida Panhandle seems to give a care. I saw therapists and Dr’s come and go, just doing their internships to get a piece of paper for themself, but none ever did anything for me but tell me I had a problem, duh! I would not have seen them if I was ok?
I am really looking for help, on a non-judgmental level, and continuing therapy with a stable staff, not bouncing from Dr to Dr, and so forth.
I am tired of being a victim, yet I am the guily? Go figure?
