God is the name we gave to the Sun, the movements we don’t understand, the natural cycles and order. It’s not some weirdo that spy’s on us, lives in the sky and made some hippy dude go get crucified. It’s not a posse of multi-armed multi-coloured humanoid creatures with animal features. You crazy, crazy, crazy ba$tards. Why do you think the bible (or whatever story you prefer) comforts you? because it’s true? Naw, because you’re desperate for something to hope, in a time period of such disgusting lack of human decency. NATURE, as we call it, would be much a much more fitting subject to receive your adoration.
Can you not see how easily you can and as a group have been in the past, manipulated due to religion? If the men at the top say something, then that means GOD SAID IT! Holy momma sauce that’s some craaazy crap. Modern world religions have a tendency to be more about CONTROL and POWER than about any kind of spirituality.
Ask yourself, like really take a day to reflect, and ask yourself if you’re really at peace with your own mind and body. Go out to the most beautiful, natural place you can, take off your shoes and socks, and feel how comforting REAL Earth is on your feet, not concrete, not glass or plastic, but real Earth. Stay there a while, absorb things visually. See how all of the natural things there fit together so well, how they all at once depend on and support each other. Not because some deity made them that way, but because that is the beauty of NATURE and it’s ways. Ignore your religious beliefs for just a moment, just one moment. And what makes you feel more free? More a part of the world? Standing in this natural place witnessing it all? Or reading a story book about some concocted being that made everything and then destroys it.
I mean really, don’t you see that all your religions have done is separate us all from each other?
