Sent you the invite. Keep in mind that once you’re there you’ll need to sign into chat with a separate account. Your recent post would be perfect for a group Anubis started called the Sanctuary, where that sort of thing can be discussed without the risk of ridicule or heated religious debate.
Long time since I’ve seen you. I’m not here much. Some of the regulars here now have a small community called Luminosity, started by Anubis and me. If you’re interested, open your email to me and I’ll send you an invite.
cool. i don’t really want higher taxes but do want peace and justice. are there any other colors of tories to choose from? could i be a blue or green tory? if not, i’ll go ahead and be a red one.
Ha! Red Tory is, well, the “left” side of the conservative party in Canada. Attaching individual rights and freedoms to things usually defined as “the common good”. A concept of liberty more defined by the community than the individual (which is a distinction, I think, between conservatives in Canada and republicans in the US). A Red Tory, for instance, would view the dispersal of wealth via taxes from the “haves” to the “have nots” as a necessity for the polity as a whole. Bringing the wealth gap from pretax 24:1 to post tax 15:1 would be a red Tory mandate.
