No, haven’t seen that one. I’ll check it out though.
The last one I watched was a former advisor (Bartlett be his name, I think) from the pentagon talk about how the Americans SHOULD be interacting with the world. He comes across as callous, jingoistic and arrogant, but very entertaining too and I found myself appreciating some of what he talked about.
Check out the slampoet named Rives on there: bloody brilliant.
yeah… it’s a great little site… some smart cookies right there. i’ve told all my mates about it, they are very impressed.
did you possibly see that one about the guy who wanted to lead the team to the nmoon to set up a mining base there, presumably to exploit lunar resources as we do on earth? i found it inspiring but unnerving and somewhat frightening.
I do like ted.com though. Gore’s Inconvenient Truth was filmed at one of these gatherings. Politics, philosophy, science, creativity, art, its all here, and from people who know what they are talking about.
hey, yeah i looked at that talk you sent me, and now i forgot it… but thanks for putting me onto ted. i will have another look at it and try to remember what it was about it that i feel vaguely disturbed about it…
