2009-11-20 07:58:26 on ok my gf caught me cheating and we have a child together
First of all you need to figure out why you were cheating on her. You need to fix yourself if you want to be in a healthy relationship with the mother of your child.
What every happens between you and the mother of your child, you are still the father. So put your child’s needs first. Make sure he is taken care and is getting the love and attention he needs from you.
2009-11-20 07:46:47 on The problem with self serving advice
I think it is what is good about this site. I give advise based on my experiences and knowledge and that is what most others do to. Like LazyDaze said, it is up to the poster if they want to take that advise or not. But if they do or not, they got to see the views of others and they will help them make their decisions.
I do like to ask questions to try and get a better picture of the persons situations but I still base my advise on my experiences or on the experiences of others I know. Of course I am aware that each situations is personal and there are a lot of factors that are involved that even the poster may not be aware of. But the best I can do is give them the best advise I can with what I know about their situation.
2009-11-20 07:25:17 on I have a shooting pain mostly in my left rib, I have heard it could be an air bubble and I may have to get it popped.
How long have you been taking the Yasmin. Maybe you should call your doctor because chest pain is listed under serious side effects. So call, it is better to be safe.
Yasmin side effects
Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Stop using Yasmin and call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:
*
sudden numbness or weakness, confusion, pain behind the eyes, problems with vision, speech, or balance;
*
chest pain or heavy feeling, pain spreading to the arm or shoulder, nausea, sweating, general ill feeling;
*
a change in the pattern or severity of migraine headaches;
*
stomach pain, loss of appetite, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes);
*
a breast lump; or
*
symptoms of depression (sleep problems, weakness, mood changes).

Go here and enter your symptoms and see what it tells you. It could just be gas bubbles, I know that is very painful. You can take something like gasx- http://www.gas-x.com/about.shtml and see if it helps.
But do not put off getting it checked. I know my Dad thought he just had heart burn for months and it was clogged arteries to his heart. So if the gas relief medicine does not work, go get a check up.
2009-11-16 13:41:27 on I had to leave him because he’s unhealthy.
Good for you for realizing the problems in the relationship and ending it. I think you need to just end communicating with him altogether. If he is not getting it, too bad for him. But you told him the issues. You do do not owe him anything more then that. In order for you to move on, you to put a end to communicating him.
2009-11-16 13:34:25 on My parents want to kick me out because I finally have my first boyfriend at 21 years old instead of just being happy for me.
Richycrai, you are coming across as a angry bitter person. Like you are angry at your own child or resentful and unhappy with your own life. I hope you find some peace in your life so you do not take it out on other people.
2009-11-16 09:30:18 on I feel like i want to run away
I am glad to hear you are doing better.
2009-11-14 22:17:04 on My parents want to kick me out because I finally have my first boyfriend at 21 years old instead of just being happy for me.
Do you honestly think they are going to kick you out or is it just a threat? Just ask them to give you some time to get a job so you can support your self. See what they say about that. You can not let them keep controlling your life, even if it means your are going to have to just scrape by own your own.
Seeing that your parents have been so protective and controlling, I can not see them kicking you out on the streets. They are expecting you to cave in and do as they are telling you. I say it is time you stand up for your self. Do you have any friends you can stay with just in case they really do kick you out? Or family members?
Finish off this semester and if they do not pay for next semester, then you will just have to wait to finish school. I am sure that is not what you want, but what choice are they giving you? They are saying it is my way or the high way. I would choose the high way.
I am usually a person who says stick it out at home and finish school. But from what I read, I feel like if you don’t go, they will continue to try and control your life.
You have some education, you will be able to get a job and make it. You can do it. I know countless people who made it own their own starting even some at age 16. I think because your parents have sheltered you so much, you are probably afraid, you are used to having that security of being taken care of. But at some point you have to learn to do it own your own, and no time like the present.
But I really think your parents think you will do thinks their way, and when you don’t, I am not sure what you can expect from them. But I do not think they will leave you homeless.

Do they not like your boyfriend? Are they saying if you want to be with this guy you can’t stay here?
2009-11-14 06:32:24 on i have a blog
Hi! Nice seeing you here. I just read your latest poem. Good stuff.
I used to watch HBO’s Def Poetry. I picture your poetry read like they do on that show, it has like a rap beat/rhythm to it, just slower. Is that how you think it when you create it? Is that how you read it?
Just wondering if you picture it the same as I do?
2009-11-12 19:43:59 on I AM AFRAID TO FAIL.
One of the teams at our school won 5th place in globals last year with the improv.
My team last year did a performance based on a piece of literature. They did Rock-a-bye Snoopy by Charles Shults. Haha I always thought that was funny. Not what comes to mind when I think of literature but for 4th graders it is. They did a great job and it was lots of fun but they did not make it to state.
We have only been meeting a few weeks and my 4th/6th grade teams it doing a performance based challenge that involves puppets and live visual art. I cant wait to see what they come up with.
My 3rd grade teams is leaning toward doing a build based challenge. One that can only use newspaper and glue, or one that has to have a controlled devise depositing items on targets, only you are behind a wall and can not see. You have to depend on your team mates to talk you through it.
Fun stuff. If you can’t tell, I am excited about all of it. I wish you lived close by, I need some appraisers and I would be recruiting you.

Usually people have no idea what I am talking about when I say DI so I am exciting you know what it is and you actually have participated in it.
What kind of challenge did your team do?

quotes on failure
As you can see I have too much free time this morning and I am now obsessed with finding the quote I was thinking of earlier. I am now thinking It was a Benjamin Franklin quote. any how, just realize failure is a good stepping stone in life. Don’t fear it, appreciate it.
2009-11-12 07:49:17 on I AM AFRAID TO FAIL.
I am sitting here thinking about this Destination Imagination program I volunteer for at my children school. The goal is to teach the children teamwork, creativity, and problem solving. As a coach I challenge the kids and give them activities where have to work together in order to succeed. I also give them challenges that they may fail. As a coach I can not give them the answers, If I know their solution is not going to work, I can not tell them. I have to let them fail, even if it is going to mean they will loose the competition and not move on to the next level. The failure is an important part of the learning process. Once they experience the failed ideal, they have learned, they now know one thing that will not work. If I tell them it will not work, it does not have as much meaning as them experiencing it themselves.
What I am saying is if you do not experience some failure, how are you going to learn what will and will not work for you? I give advise all the time on here. Most based on what I have learned through having hard times and making bad decision. But wow, I have learned a lot because of it.
