Email me,these guys broke every rule in the book. You can and should get a lawyer, but you should do much work as well. I would encourage you to read and familiarize yourself with the laws and codes that are applicable. DO you have any classes that are even remotely concerned with this matter? If so let me know what they are. I have an idea that may or may not help. Also, the regular police force violates many of its own rules and policies every day. Look into past cases that are on record that are similar to yours. Figure out what they did right and what they did wrong. If you decide to go after these guys it will not be easy by any stretch of the imagination, but if is very possible to win. Go and talk to a lot of lawyers and then see if you can get a hold of some local news outlets and see if you can get them on your side. If you fight this you will have to get as much help as you can muster and the press if motivated properly can be very valuable. Also, what state are you in? I live in TX of course and there was in incident when I had to pick up my mom’s car because she was caught driving drunk. I only came across it by chance ,but they let me call a friend and get the car home without it being impounded. Now, you definitely have a case, but what you choose to do hinges on whether or not you think you have the time, funds, will power, and researching ability to pull this off. IF you think you can pull this off then go for it, if you don’t think so don’t waste time fighting it as it would be wasting time, resources, and energy. If you do this you better go at this with everything you have. The first thing I would look up is whether or not they absolutely must read you your rights. I would think they have to, but I am not sure. IF they should have and it was not done for your or your boyfriend then you can get the cases thrown out just on that I think. I am not a lawyer by any stretch of the imagination, but that is what I think. I will be praying for you.
