That is normally my problem as I try to compensate for the fact that I hardly see them.
However I am sitting in a financial bind (like the rest of us LOL) so they will just have to understand that life is tough and I cannot do anymore.

15 and 13 are tough ages. Mine are 13 and 8 and enough of a challenge. I know you look forward to spending time with them. Make it count, but that doesn’t mean being a pushover, lol, though it may be tempting to spoil them.

They are fifteen and thirteen. Real stormy years but I am so excited to see them again.
And there may be a small chance that the eldest will be staying with me hen I will need a lot of help from you guys. She is very difficult.

A whole month.. That’s fantastic! I know it must be hard for you being away from them. How old are they now?

Am fine. SOOO exited the girls is coming to visit for a full month. There may even be a slight possibility that they may be coming to live with me. Imagine away - that is what keeps us sane

Yes, it should be interesting. I have got a great idea for a collabarative (hope i spelled that correctly) book. Will discuss it with you on e-mail. It may Be a big money spinner. Should take about 1 year to complete. Not a novel or anything though.

Sounds like you’re off on the great bachelorette adventure! I know you’ll miss your kids, but you and the dog moving to a new city sounds like fodder for a good ballad. That can be one of your writing projects.

Hi there, Everyones fine except that my house is not sold yet. Both the girls will be living with their dad, it is just me and my dog that is going.

The kids are back with me after a week with their mom. They’re great. While it’s winter in S.A., it’s about to be summer here. They’re ready for it, although my daughter likes school so much she would rather it went year round. I have to find some camps for them to be in this summer so I can keep working. The crab is healthy. He’s the biggest hermit crab I’ve ever seen now. My son wants to take guitar lessons. I think I’ll wait until after I sell his viola, which he finally quit a few weeks ago. I couldn’t blame him, though. His instructor was terrible. The dogs are loving as always.

I’ll bet you’re excited about the move. Tell me about Cape Town and what your plans are there. Did your youngest make a decision yet about where to live?

He can be sometimes. Not a bad person, just the wrong person. My finaldeparture date is now the 13th of June.
How is crabby and the dogs and kids doing?

I’m here. No it’s not the holidays, but my kids are with me every other week, and when they’re here it gets hectic keeping up with their schedules–soccer games and such. I’ve tried to start logging in mornings instead of late at night. Otherwise I’m on here to 3 AM (like now) and have to be up at 6 to take them to school.

hi amy, glad you’re back online. me too. i was away for a week just to take a break and to get some work done.

i’m okay. my kids were with me last week, and this week they’re with their mom. i’m trying to plan for a trip to alaska this summer, getting passports and all.

how are you adjusting to your oldest moving out? do you and the 13-year-old get along? i find that whenever i’m able to spend a day or even a few hours with one of my kids that we get along great–because they’re not competing for my attention!

so you put your house up for sale. how is the market where you are? here the market is bad, but then i’m renting right now and looking for a house.

Hi there, finally got my new internal modem and am all up and running again. In the meanwhile one of my children has moved to her dad and the other one has to stay with me for another year and a half. To her utter disgust. Have also put the property in the market so that I can move on with my life.
