• I’m self injuring again.
  

  My kids already plan to come back to me as soon as they’re old enough. Until then, I’m trying to help their boyfriends rent an apartment close to them so that at least the girls will have them close enough to see them every day. It might be easier for the girls to deal with their situation if they can be comforted by their boyfriends. Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate it. I hope you’re feeling better & wish you good luck on conquering your problem. I’ve found that even if you’re not an alcoholic/drug addict AA helps. The 12 steps apply to many other problems beside alcohol & drug addiction. They too are people in need of help. They can sympathize with you. It’s nice to talk to other people who’ve made an honest attempt to make their lives better.

• My kids are 16 & 15 years old.
  

  I’ve suggested to the DHS that my kids both want to go to New Beginnings in Lewiston, Me which is close to them. The DHS worker told me in no uncertain terms, they’re not going there. New beginnings is a program for anyone 12-18 who needs a safe place to stay & needs transitional help to become responsible adults. I asked her why. She said because I said so. I told her that wasn’t a reason. I need a legitimate reason. She said they aren’t old enough. I told her they were, I’d already talked to the people myself. The people are perfectly willing to take my daughters. They help kids in state custody all of the time. The only problem is that the DHS has to sign them in. I want to suggest job corps in Bangor, Me also, but I’m afraid they won’t let my kids go there either. Job corps will pay the girls to be there, help them get their HSD & train them for a career. The girls would be able to live right on campus. It just seems like the DHS won’t let the girls do anything that won’t make them miserable.

  I realize that most men have a natural aversion to psychologists, however a marriage counselor could possibly do wonders to help you both. If that doesn’t work & there really isn’t any trust between the two of you, it’ll be hard to make it work. Trust is the very foundation of a marriage. Without it there isn’t anything. On the bright side, if the marriage can’t stand the test of time, there are other people out there who are capable of being emotionally supportive of you. You may even find a new woman who truly loves & supports you in every way possible. However, I would take that as slowly as possible, because being on the rebound has a tendency to be far too deceptive.

  My daughter cuts herself. She has to live with my sister who’s a total witch. My sister is extremely mentally & verbally abusive to her. The dhs in their infinite wisdom thinks both of my daughters are better off there than with me based on lies my sister told about me & everyone else in my family. She made it so that no one, not even the kids’ father can have them. When she cuts herself, she writes “HELP” on her bedroom walls in her own blood & covers it up with posters.
