what im talking about is labeled CN1, CD-ROM interface connector. and on the card it looks exactly like the IDE port found on the motherboards of computers.

no its a full size IDE port. if u search sound blaster 2 pro in google u might find a diagram of what i mean.

well, i have my eye on a newer computer thats way faster than the average computer and you bet im saving up for it, but in the meantime im stuck with this thing. and no i cant find a program that tells me what my mainboard type is. i think its one of those generic things with no real company. if it is from a well known company i cant find it
