Really good post about cutting, Kim. You have great insights and it’s a topic lots of people want to discuss. I think the top portion could have been even better if you had restated the article in your own words instead of quoting it. Don’t get me wrong, the article was good, but you could have said it better than the psychologist guy and in fewer words.

Sound would help greatly I think. Don’t know if it’s free. I think so. And a sound card doesn’t cost much and is easy to replace.

I’m not much for action flicks but I love Raiders and special effects. I can watch one just for that purpose. Hey, do you happen to know what happened to Rabbit? U user on here? I miss him

I see a lot of movies and it takes a big “wow factor” to impress me. With this one, the effects weren’t any worse than the others, it’s just that the first movie set the bar so high. Raiders was the movie where I thought Hollywood passed the reality threshold, where you could no longer know if anything you saw was real. I think it had to do with the Dolby sound too.
