  Really, GPPConstanc? How do you know Jesus wasn’t there. I have seen Him present in the compassion, dedication and commitment that those who volunteer selflessly do for others.
  I am curious- how may HFH projects have you been involved with?
  
  I do agree that this person needs to do what they can do to be prepared. You are not helpless. Take action- make phone calls, make connections and make plans. After you have truly done what you can do, then you must let go and let God.

  Why are you failing? Were you slacking or did you just not understand the material. You may just have to face the consequence and do better next semester. You will survive.

  Geez, all of these replies are stupid.
  She can’t just tell herself to eat. Eating disorders are not about the food. Take yourself to an emergency room. You may have to stay for awhile but the professionals at a hospital can get you hooked up with the correct treatment. You can’t do this alone and there is treatment out there that won’t break the bank.

  Sounds like you are in a tough spot. Just know that there is help out there for you. Check out organizations that are designed to help women in situations similar to you. He doesn’t have to be physically abusing you for you to be able to get help. The mental abuse he heaps on you is reason enough for you to qualify for their services and protection.
  I am not sure how these things work in CA- but where I am from, you can request a domestic abuse protection order- which keeps him from contacting you and your children for a specified amount of time. This is helpful because it then lets law enforcement know that there is a situation they need to be aware of.
  Good luck- and if you don’t think you can make changes for yourself, then do it for your kids. They deserve to grow up in a “healthy” environment.

  Just tell them- make no excuses for your behavior and ask for their forgiveness. Hopefully then will understand that we are all human- fallible- and if not, then use this as a lesson to try your best to be honest with people who are important to you.
  Know you are not alone. Most everyone would admit to being dishonest from time to time. As long as you are not a habitual liar, cut yourself some slack.
