You’ve been minimising this person’s problem an dit is not a good way to help.
It’s like telling her she’s just being stupid thinking she’s got a problem.
I’m a counsellor and I’ve seen lots of those teens with ED and telling them it’s just because they’re teenagers or that they’re stupid just makes them want to stop getting help.
Just so you know, in case you have to deal ith another post like this one.
My experience and my age would qualify me past a “regular” person. Do not see a problem with telling a person to see a therapist. Is that not what you are? Asking question helps the person as they feel that you care, is that not true? Many people who come to this site cannot afford a therapist. So, our help is sometimes all they can afford.
Personally, have had a lot of joy and satisfaction out of just telling these people that we care.
Sounds like a fascinating place to live! Australia is also known for it’s multiculturality and I love it for that. It is very easy to embrace and learn about the multitude of cultures that live on our planet.
You sound like a thoroughly interesting person and your interests intrigue me! If you don’t mind me asking, how old are you? Your replies come across as though they were written by a very old soul.

heya, thanks for the shout :) I haven’t seen you around until just recently, or perhaps I’ve noticed you more since you added a photo. I hope you stick around! I am a peer counselor, and I usually stick to the western medical model of mental illness. I’m glad you’re here to give advice from a more spiritual stance, and balance me out! (and with much prettier prose, I must say rather jealously)

Brother,
What can I say except thanks for being born…I knew in my heart there must be brothers out there like you. I’d love to chat. I am curious what you have studied, as far as bodywork goes, you sound like me. I have been involved with many modalities as I have head to realign my central nervous system (but that is a long story)I am wondering if you have studied Jin Shin Do Accupressure. One of the comments you made rang a bell. Email me if you’d like. Peace
Most excellent. Yes, I love Ram Dass, because he represents that fusion of intellectualism and spirituality, the history professor who became a guru, the psychologist who championed illogical internal thought (and LSD, but that’s a whole other story). I’ve listened to a lot of his lectures, and his presence is really very strong, his conviction so powerful.
Hey, I’ve noticed a few of your posts. Do you have a background in counciling? I’ve noticed a great deal of depth and analysis to the responses I’ve read.
Hi man I just wanted to say you are a great human being and that you deserve some praise. Maybe if we all learn to praise people like you then perhaps there will be more like you.
