Mini-Profile

You will have to forgive me. I am a woman and I am highly opinionated. I just wish that we, as a society, can close our eyes and imagine ourselves in our neighbors shoes. I don’t mean specifically next door, but what the hey. As of now, Northern Indiana has been flooded and people are without homes. They have lost much of their belongings and worst yet, hope. The president has sent funds for the flooding. It’s really a shame that the post office doesn’t have specific names and a check for each victim of that money. People have to apply for assistance. You can’t just take names and pass out some cash. At least, officials could purchase Greyhound tickets and send these people to family abroad. Attempt to get something sorted for now. There will be no rebuilding of better homes until the mud dries up anyway. It’s a shame that people have to lose everything before they are recognized as individuals, than just lumped together as a group to receive help.
