Um hello there :) I have sort of a weird favor to ask you. Well that reply about the soldier was put on my profile as quotable, but I feel kind of bad about having a reply that says I’d theoretically kill someone there, so if it wouldn’t be too much trouble, could you help me out by giving someone else one of those stars? Hey Dragon Lady =), didn’t want to say it on the “umm” post but you need to understand just how repressive that culture is, especially towards women, I don’t have the quote of what you just said in front of me lol. But social norms of..well pretty much anywhere else, but especially in America, simply don’t apply there, granted there is still the innate love in a family but often it is so buried under tradition, fear and religion (Islam) that it is almost impossible to bring out. I AM NO EXPERT. but I felt like I should say that. forgive me if I come off strong or hating or anything like that, but, I felt I should share my opinion? sounds dumb when I say it like that lol

Bottom line. Thanks for showing that girl so much love and compassion, your able to talk to her from totally different perspective then me and its really really heartwarming to see how many people care =)

Hey. I read your replies to suicidal people and you always tell them to call an ambulance. I have a question, what do the hospitals do if someone does this? Also have you done or known someone that done this? I don’t know I think it’s the last thing that I would think about doing if I was suicidal so I just wanted insight on why you suggest it. Yes! 10 seconds is all I get, too. And that is why I have to have lots of pictures on the front page, and capture attention right away.

But my bounce rate has dropped almost 10% since I took away the grey background, so the white must not be deterring people too much.

One thing I always have to remember is that I get sick of it because I’m there looking at it every single day, whereas most of my customers pop in once a month. So they see it in a different light than I do, and they don’t get so tired of it.

Yes, that’s the kind of light pattern I was referring to.

I’m no web designer so the best I can offer is artistic stand points. But the reason I am suggesting all the things I did is because I do have to make my own website and what teachers have told me time and time again are basically the things I pointed out.

Making sure that the costumer comes, looks, is interested, and leaves remembering the site. Granted I won’t be selling anything, but I still have to make sure that the first 10 seconds of their visit is met with fond memories and gets their attention.

(I’m a student in game design in case you didn’t know. This means my site has to be filled with awe-inspiring art and such.)

Yeah, I can understand that. But if I can recommend any change, it would be to increase the size of your navigation links, such as the beads, tools, items links. Bigger gets more attention.

Also if you have a facebook, twitter, and youtube account for your business then you should have the links up at the top pointing to them. If you don’t have those three, then you should really consider getting them as it could boost your clientele.

The best sellers on the side is great, but I don’t know what they look like, kind of hard to judge if they are worth it without spending tons of time clicking each link.

The last think I’d consider options for would be the white background. It’s reallllllly overpowering on the eyes. The border you have on the top is neat, and if you could watercolor it down to a faint pattern, then it would help break up that overpowering white background. The faint pattern below the ads on the left frame is sort of what I am talking about.

Oh, one last thing, your site seems to be broken on multiple browsers. I loaded it on chrome, firefox and iexplorer. It is good on chrome, but seems to be missing a few images the other two show. But firefox and iexplorer seem to also not have the frames working at all. It’s really screwy.

I just don’t want to come off as “OMG you ahve to change this, it’s horrible” but instead more like “Hmm it’s good, but could be better”. Yeah… lol, really not trying to be a jerk.

Oh yeah no I won’t deny that it changes sales. But if I was a new customer coming in I immedietly notice that it is designed based on the previous decades design templates. The standardness of it all.

I’m not saying it needs major change, but yeah there are tiny things one could do if you ever get to a point where you think you can. Course I could just be noticing these things because of my background with art n stuff, so you can safely ignore my rant lol.
