That sounds really nice and the film to DVD thing is exactly what we are doing. My brother is also pretty good at film editing so he has said he may attempt to edit it once we get it on to DVD to make it a bit more special. I think they’ll appreciate it, but it’s funny how as I’ve gotten older I really feel indebted to them and wish to show them how much I love and care for them.. so I guess it’s ME that I have to please in making sure I convey that! Thanks for your advice :)

hi lillian. i’m sure whatever you get your parents, they will be very appreciative.

my parents had their 50th three years ago and my older sister threw them a big party. my gift to them was that i took their old black and white 8mm films and converted them to dvd. and at the end of the party we watched them. it was the last time my dad and his siblings were all together, as two of them, including my dad, passed away in ‘06.
