  Forget him! He has a partner for a reason! Do not even consider anything with this guy until/if/when he breaks up with his partner. Someone in that situation can often come across the injured party or victim (i.e. she doesn’t give me affection, we always argue…) and the other person could not even be aware of what is going on. The end result is you will get called everything under the sun ’slag, slapper, whore, home-wrecker’ and you may be the injured party.
  
  Go out there, find someone who is single and if this guy is interested in you he will finish with his current partner first.

  I could not comment whether he is interesting in you but the most important thing is that you should not pursue him. If he does let you know he is interested you need to then make it clear about his partner. My gut feeling is you should just forget him and move on with your life - you’ve plenty of years yet!

  I really cannot add much to what has already been discussed but my general feeling is that T most certainly has some feelings for you that perhaps she is finding it hard to deal with. I have acted in a similar manner to her with a friend of mine ‘M’ who I have been friends with for years. It seems to punctuate our relationship every couple of years when I start to have the yearnings to be near him. It always seems much easier for me to blank his phone calls or go back on a plan to meet. Totally inconsiderate I know - but more of a protection method (from myself!). I also find myself getting angry with M if he does the same thing to me and then have to get a grip and realise that I am the one with the problem. I cannot suggest a solution but I would definitely summise from what you have told me that T does value you as a friend but may be finding it hard to deal with stronger feelings for you right now.
