did you try the last link I posted? That’s something I do here sometimes when I have no idea how best to go about discussing something here, I search the site to see how other’s have discussed it before. Sometimes it works a little for me.

oh i see what you mean! honestly, at least on four occasions i wanted to say “if you are not atheist, please ignore this post”, but i didnt, im still PC and inclusive, i guess it is to my own detriment here. which is the impression i got and closed the post.
i guess if that i do tell people who feel depressed to see their doctor first, and do not seek your greater power first, i am doing the same thing, so i think it is best i do leave and be quiet.
btw i am in no way being sarcastic, you reinforced my idea that i was wrong to do it here. so thank you =] you have saved me a lot of time i appreciate that! =]

I’ve had the misfortune of seeing many stupid discussions about Scientology.

I don’t think I ever saw a single one go instantly into discussing Christianity, God, and the bible like on this site. And it happens with most posts related to “theism” I’ve seen here.

I don’t think your post goes against the site’s policy on religion. you’re just asking, “hey, fellow atheists, shouldn’t we get together and tell the truth of our worldview?” Don’t you think? It’s not offensive, it’s not forcing your beliefs on anyone.

But I think if you don’t do it clearly it’ll go into one of those religious debates that may be fun intellectual exercise but seem kind of meaningless.

Sorry, I’ll shut up now. Unless you’d like more clarification.

Maybe I can unconfuse you. scientology is some weird cult. they’ve been talked about often on the internet because of how they sue people who publish negative things about them.

I did think it’d be funny to reply with “no your all dumb,” because of how the messages were going. That’s why I took your meaning wrong or vice-versa.

This is a very christian-centric site, however. I saw a discussion of scientology the yesterday that instantly went into discussing the bible and christianity. I’ve seen many discussions of scientology in public forums on the internet but I don’t think I’ve seen one before that instantly went into discussion of Christianity.

well if you already went to the trouble then please do so =] knowledge should never go to waste!
