Hi, Anne! Yep, things are good. Michele is 5 months pregnant with a girl. I’m starting a new job on Monday with a different insurance company. The pay will be better, I’ll have benefits and I think I’ll be much more successful. Instead of selling health and life insurance to senior citizens, I’ll be an account manager selling group health insurance plans to companies. My HR department clients will be smarter, more rational and easier for me to sell deal with. I’m really looking forward to that change. Hope all is well with you!

Yeah, we got attacked by a gang of trolls (technically British school kids) who enjoyed defacing the website. If updated my auto filters to better catch British sexual slang. I’ve deleted everything that slipped through and was viewable by the public. Thanks for the report! Hopefully we’ll be better prepared next time. But yeah - that cry wolf rape post was deleted and the poster was banned along with the rest of the gang.

Thanks for pointing this out and making this a better site. Dancergurl is trying to get a rise from people by insulting them. Her account has been blocked.

Interesting connection between the two users. Of course her first ID expired and is now deactivated. That may be why she reregistered under the new user name. I’ll keep paying attention to what she does. Thanks for pointing this out.

Thanks for pointing out what was going on with the user olejko.christopher. He really was insensitive and insulting. Amazingly he did this without tripping the filters. Anyhow, I banned his account.

I checked it out and at least Matthews is trying to offer an alternative solution, so he’s keeping to the theme of things, even if you disagree with the advice. Still, thanks for pointing this out. It’s good to keep tabs on things because sometimes peope do go over the line.

Mostly I review posts and try to delete out inappropriate posts and replies. I check our moderation queue regularly to see if our automatic filters have picked up any bad words - I’ll either censor the wording or delete the entire thing. Occasionally I write original content for the site. Posts and editorials. I also try to answer posts that nobody ese has touched. That’s pretty much it.

Although the old Outbound days were hairy, I really liked our team. I MISS the old Outbound days!

So other than posting things here, what else do you do as a Moderator?

Hey the techical answers are great. Even if you cut and paste them it helps the poster. And yes, I am still enjoying being a moderator although it gets tough keeping up with all the posts! Some days it’s positively hairy! Kind of like our old Outbound days when Worldata goes bananas with new orders that need to get out in 5 minutes.

Yes, I am HOOKED! I try to come on here ever now and then to see what posts are out there.
