Very nice setup, I like it, don’t worry about lighting and rendering it’s all about trial and error, once you get past them you’re realize they’re easier then modeling, you’ve got one of the hardest parts down already. www.zomgsrsly.com is my new site, you can find me there anytime and feel free to make posts if you have questions about Maya :] Well done man you’re doing good work!

Sorry about the late reply, Vancouver is a shithole and I’m never coming back. When you press 3 you’re only getting an in-viewport preview, it won’t look that way at render time, so avoid modeling with previews. As for rendering video with MentalRay I’d go with .mov, but .mov can be a dick so maybe .avi

Fjards are also formed by glaciers, but tend to be wider and shallower than fjords
