I myself only seems to see the good in people at first and build off that before I see the bad, but that’s me and I like it like that. I don’t make or accept friendships unless I feel something now, the people I talk to are mainly people who want help or I want to be there for and not friends.

I wouldn’t say they are rules, but I feel a friendship takes time as a friendship is a really big thing to have, so it should be made carefully.
