yeap!! Its good that you want your kids to know something about Islamic Holidays… Not only Islamic but all of the Religions’ Main events.. Thats really good..

There are two main Holidays for Muslims.

1) Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated after the month of Ramadan (Its the name of a month in Islamic Calendar). In Ramadan we fast for the whole month. This year, Ramadan came in the month of October. The next month is Shawwal and on the very first day of this month, we celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr. On this day, we thank God for making the month of Ramadan easier for us. We pray to God, Eat sweets, Wear new clothes, take money from our elders which is called Eidi, visit our friends and relatives etc. etc.. As a whole this day is full of enjoyment and there is a special holiday for us in Muslim Countries.

2)Eid-ul-Azha is celebrated in the month of Zul-Hijja. In this month Muslims from all over the world visit Makkah (Mecca) which is the holy city of Saudi Arabia (where I am currently residing but in Riyadh, the Capital of KSA). For three days (8th, 9th and 10th of Zul-Hijja), Muslims perform Hajj and pray to God. Its a long process and is hard to perform. Hajj is must for the Muslims over 18 of age but only for those who can AFFORD. On the 10th of this month, we celebrate Eid. We slaughter animals like Goats, Sheep, Buffaloes, Cows, Camels etc. on 10th. But only those who can afford or if they can make a little share in that animal, they pay for that. After slaughtering that animal, we distribute its meat among our Friends, Relatives and Poor. This year, 10th of Zul-Hijja came right before 11 days. Today is 21st of Zul-Hijja here. We are given 4 Days of holidays for both of the Eids.

There are some other festivals too but they arent common as these two are.. These two are celebrated by Muslims of all over the world. But the others are celebrated by different ways in different countries.

Just wanted to chat. Tell me about Islamic holidays this time of year. I know nothing about them. Of course I’m not thinking of converting, but there’s a mosque near my school and I want my kids to be accepting of all religions. So maybe we’ll go to a service. We have also been to a Jewish synagogue and have traditionally gone to Catholic mass.

hahaha!! Yea, I do.. because I like change in everything… but I have felt that my frnds are having problems in communicating w/ me… So, I’ll get my name back…. :) hahahahaha!!!! Hey back. I was gone for a month because I needed to give myself a kick in the pants and get back to work. I’m doing pretty good now. Working on a new project and actively seeking a regular job to replace my business. The kids are good, making good grades. My golden retriever is pregnant. We looked at ultrasound pics of the puppies today. They’ll be here in a month. The kids are excited.

I also felt very fine after coming. Fresh Minded and Active. But Help.com wasnt changed as I thought it would. Still some fake posts and users. I had more than 60 friends but now only 48. I dont know where are they going and whats happening to them. Anyway, I am glad that you are back!!

I have posted graphics before, but you’re right, HTML is disabled now because the site was hacked awhile back, or so I’m told.

A Human Being is fine, whatever you like is what matters. Helps if you shout your friends (as you’ve been doing) so they realize who you are.

I feel great after coming back, in fact better than I’ve felt in a couple of years. Help changes and it doesn’t. People come and go, and that makes subtle changes feel like big ones I think. It can be hard to keep track of old friends if they become inactive or less active. Maybe it’s me, but although I have over 150 “friends” the number of people I feel I really know is somewhere between 10 and 20, and I can only retain 40 to 50 distinct help.com personalities in my memory. The rest seem transitory and generic.

Don’t know, but someone found a flaw in the system about.. a month ago? And for awhile no images would post, only videos.

Images are apearing in shouts. I sent images to one yesterday. It was fine.
But they r not appearing in Replies and Posts. But shie can post them. I dont know how.

I couldn’t get it to appear in the shouts either. Maybe html is disabled again. It was previously. The site would automatically put a random space in the code to prevent it from appearing, because of some hacker.
