Oh, i thought she was someone you knew from before. You were looking for some old members i thought you knew them. :) Too long story but she was one of the best persons this site ever had. They have chosen to leave with the others.

I can’t say I had the pleasure of meeting her. If I did, I do not recall. Apparently, she JUST wiped out her shoutbox, which is weird, because she hasn’t replied or posted anything in almost a year. What do you think happened?

Better than awfully strange I suppose. I guess I just feel too much like a stranger stepping into something over his head and somewhat like an inside joke that no one finds funny.

A and i used to talk for hours. She called me her princess and i used to tell her i can lend her my crown.

It has been years. And i miss them so much. T also came to visit the post. She must also come to this site once in a while. She left me a shout once.

I had to get out of chat a while ago. I’m a little shy when new people are around.

Honestly, i find the giving of points cute. But this site’s layout is far better than the other site. I am practically visual, i like things laid down before my very eyes so the giving of notices for new update and knowing who is online is help.com’s edge. I am lazy. I dislike refreshing pages all the time.

I find this site more emotional. And i agree when it comes to posts like you mentioned, this site is more appropriate. Also, while i value correct spelling, i don’t agree that people would need to be perfect on everything they write. Too many of them give more attention to the spelling and writing even “I” instead of “i” on posts. I think it boils down to the original intention on how the site came up.
Does that makes sense or am i just babbling?

Wow Dan! Did you ever talk with your parents during those hard times? Surely, during all that stuff they would have helped.

Finding your way is not always easy. Personally, know that myself and I’m 63 years old.

Well, got a divorce in August of 07….like yourself, had a very difficult time getting over 17 years of marriage. But, today i’m doing better. Dating a very good lady and we are having fun.

My mom has been ill the last two years and i’m the one who is totally responsible for her. It has been VERY difficult. Had to put her in an assisted care facility and had more problems with family than her. Life is not always easy! What an understatement…

Well, glad to be communicating with you again. You have SO much potential and I’m sure you will be just fine.

Well… That’s a somewhat involved story. I’ll try to give you the DeColumna Condensed Version:

I left college and moved nearly 2000 miles to be with a girl I fell head over heels with. She dumped me about 6 months later. I fell apart and didn’t start treading water again until I had hit rock bottom and bounced a few times. I’ve been crawling back up ever since. I haven’t gone back to school full time yet, or even in the field I want my degree in. However, I am nearly finished with an EMT course that will enable me to get a more stable and better paying job. Hopefully, with that I’ll be able to finish my degree. Oh, and I still don’t have a car. :-( Obviously, there’s TONS more to that, including a suicide attempt via semi headed off by a street bum of all people, but if I start into that, I’ll be typing, and you’ll be reading, for quite awhile, lol.

Let’s just say things have been on an upward trend for the last few months, and I’m quite happy with that.

How about yourself? What has been going on in your life?

sure do remember you Dan! The way this site is now, you would not enjoy it. Personally, come here very seldom. Mainly to check my shouts from old friends. When we were here before Dan, it was a great site. Oh yes, that Elizabeth was a hoot…

Hey, check this site out..Fluther.com…I’m BoBo1946 there. Very strict rules about asking questions and the mods are very strict about flame-baiting, name calling, etc. The members ask some VERY good questions.

Sounds like a fair enough reason to add me to your friends =]. Don’t think I’ve ever heard such a detailed reason behind something before.
