  I understand it when people gain confidence becuase they are wearing a new dress, top, new shoes, did something new with thier hair or whatever becuase it’s becuase they did something new and different that they like. They feel confident, and it’s true; people pick up on it. But you have to learn more about yourself to feel confident with your personality.
  
  So, I’m going to ask you to put down from 5 to 1, in order, the things you hate most about your personality. And then the things, again 5 to 1, the things you love best about your personality, can you do that for me?

  You see, the biggest problem with all this is that you are putting your physical appearence, albiet you fears about them, at the center of your being. Correct me if I’m but it seems to be the biggest part of your life right now. Am I right?
  
  Becuase of this, you are in danger of meeting the wrong people… You want to meet people who like you based on your personality, becuase ultimatley, these are the people who will love you no matter what you look like, and these are the people who you need to conentrate on finding… There’s more of them out there than you might think!

  I completely understand where you are coming from…
  
  Sometimes, if I’ve had a night out with a new group of people or even close friends, I run all the things I said and did and wondered if they were the right things to do, what people must have thought etc…
  
  But I really wouldn’t make a habbit of doing that becuase if can completey destroy you as a social person, make you feel overwhelming anxieties and sap all your confidence away, leaving you rather worse off…
  
  I think the best thing for you to do is simply not think about. But, as I used to find, this is far easier said than done… So perahps just some reasurance from a close friend might help? And then from that, you can gradually build up the confidence to not care too much what people think…

  We can all do something great! All of us, okay maybe you nor I will cure cancer or find world peace, but we can porvide people with a reason to live! If we could give love to someone, then we have made someone else’s life a little better. Perhaps so something on a grand scale, like Phillipe Petit when he walked between the twin towers before getting arrested. He walked on that wire, after hiding out for 3 hours under a blanked from surrounding security guards. He walked on that wire, and people on the street were cheering and crying from the sheer beauty of the sight.
  
  he showed people that we all have a soul, and to express it is doing something great, something only we can do as humans… all it takes are a few steps, a bit of tenacity, a bit of self-belief. We can all do something great, hold on!
