2009-09-17 23:09:24 on I need help.
Well it sounds like he might be a little confused himself. I wouldn’t give up just yet. And also don’t take what he said to much to heart(its a classic stereotype that guys say things that they don’t mean). The best thing to do is to talk to him about his feelings and what he meant by what he said. And that could be very hard and also a very awkward thing to do but it sounds like you guys need to talk about it. Let him know that you are confused and what he said hurt you and that it also hurt you by what he did by getting your hopes up. If you don’t let him know how you feel and bottle it up inside your just going to have to keep on pretending that you feel happy when you hang out with him. And if it doesn’t go well this would be the first step to getting over him. Because not knowing whether or not there is still a chance between you guys will keep you still crushing on him. Bottom line you guys should talk about it. Hope that helps.

You could do it in a creative way. Is that what you meant? Not actually how to say it, but how you should do it?

If you never have said a word to her before then do borrow something from her and take that as a chance to introduce your self
2009-05-20 21:47:20 on Dream
That type of dream symbolizes insecurity. Whenever you dream about being chased or running from something many psychiatrists and dream interpretations point to some kind of event of phobia that bothers you. When enter the finally stage of REM sleep cycle, which is when you dream, it is usually very hard to realize that you are dreaming or are in a dream. Because the part of the brain that controls logic is kinda half asleep and thats why sometimes your dreams and get funky(I can’t remember what the part of the brain is called) You can when nearing the the end of REM have that part of the brain reactivate the logic and come the realization that you are dreaming and can control your dreams. So when you find your self in the dream try to remember its a dream and you can stop it or change whats happening. But you usually wake up soon after. Good Luck hope that helped.

The same thing happened to me exactly. I like hyphy music and my mother commented to me how inappropriate and dumb she thought my taste in music was. I got pretty offended to, but what you have to realize our parents come from a totally different generation that is not accepting of other cultures and at times very xenophobic. I don’t think this fact should inhibit your “opening up to your mother”. But let her know in a nice and calm way with no hostility that you are offended by her comments and were just trying to share something with her that you enjoy. Tell her that you feel like she always brings you down, you may be surprised with her reaction. Good Luck and remember that the key to a good relationship is honesty and communication.
2009-03-23 16:06:44 on what to do when you have shin splints?
I have been in track for the last seven years this will be my last season if I don’t do it in college. Shin splints can ruin a season. Epically for jumpers(long jump, high jump,…ect). Shin splints come from running or jumping, and may be very slow to heal. A formal medical term for the condition is medial tibial syndrome. First you need to identify what kind you have. There are two main types : Overused muscle and Chronic compartment syndrome.
The overused muscle, is either an acute injury or delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS). An individual that has not accustomed to running may experience pain in the shin muscles the next day even after a single, short bout of intensive running. Untreated shin splints can lead to a stress reaction mid-shaft in the tibia, which can eventually lead to a stress fracture. A stress fracture can be diagnosed by a bone scan or an MRI and takes much longer to heal than shin splints.
Chronic compartment syndrome is a problem which can mimic anterior shin splints. This is a serious problem which can lead to significant loss of function in the lower leg. CCS occurs when swelling within the indispensible anterior compartment of the leg reduces blood flow. This relative lack of blood, ischemia, can cause more swelling and generate a positive feedback loop. In severe cases the result can be acute compartment syndrome (ACS) which requires emergency surgery to prevent ischemic muscle necrosis due to lack of blood.
This taken straight from my track manual
Treatment and prognosis
Acute treatment
The immediate treatment for shin splints is rest. Running and other strenuous lower limb activities, like basketball and other sports which include flexing the muscle, should be avoided until the pain subsides and is no longer elicited by activity. In conjunction with rest, anti-inflammatory treatments such as icing and drugs, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (in particular, NSAID gel) may be suggested by a doctor or athletic trainer. Over-the-counter pain relievers can also be taken, though there is some controversy over their effectiveness. Furthermore, the lower legs may be taped to stabilize and take some load off the periosteum. Finally, using good shoes (ideally compensating for individual foot differences) is important. The shin can be trained for greater static and dynamic flexibility through adaptation, which will diminish the contracting reflex, and allow the muscles to handle the rapid stretch. The key to this is to stretch the shins regularly. However, static stretching might not be enough. To adapt a muscle to rapid, eccentric contraction, it has to acquire greater dynamic flexibility as well. One way to work on the dynamic flexibility of the anterior shin is to subject it to exaggerated stress, in a controlled way, such as walking on the heels. If the muscle is regularly subject to an even greater dynamic, eccentric contraction than during the intended exercise, it will become more capable of handling the ordinary amount of stress. Experienced long-distance runners practice controlled downhill running as a part of training, which places greater eccentric loads on the quadriceps as well as on the shins. A physical therapist, athletic trainer, or doctor should be consulted before engaging in this type of training.

2008-12-29 21:21:26 on I have a redfield 3X9X40 rifle scope that was given to me by my brother way back in the late ’80s.
Not to long ago I bought a similar scope for about 45 dollars. I suggest that you get a new scope. Thats really not an item that is repaired easily because the parts are hard to come by and most times not sold indiviually. I use the site http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/. Its a little bit hard to navigate but it has great deals and a huge selection. I hope I helped good luck.
