Ross C Brown lives and attends secondary school in Dumfries, a semi rural town in south west Scotland.
In 2001, Ross developed his first interest in website design. A few weeks later, on free web space, he launched his first website. Having mastering the ‘art’ of Microsoft FrontPage he created a personal site using basic HTML.
Soon After, cold-blue.co.uk went live, a teen based website with many different sections named zones, each filled by a different contributor. In just a few weeks, the site was receiving hundreds of unique visitors each week. While nothing compared to the likes of Yahoo, this impressed Ross and kick-started Ross’s bedroom publishing enterprises.
Since then, Ross has created a number of websites. After a brief experiment with his own web-based email system, he decided to enter website hosting business offering high quality serving and support without the extreme cost. Under the Locked Box Group brand, Ross supports many customers and their websites.
During his spare time, Ross designed and currently maintains a website for his school, St. Joseph’s College. The website focuses on the activity of a voluntary group working towards EcoSchools Green Flag Award. The website was featured in a local newspaper and mention of it was included in the school newsletter. The site has also been shown to the First Minister of Scotland and the Minister for Education in Scotland. In the second quarter of 2006, Ross was proud to receive the ‘Garland Cup’ for ‘Service to the School’ as a result of producing and maintaining the Eco Group Website.
Away from the computer, Ross enjoys capturing life through photography. Many of Ross’ images are available to download from leading royalty free stock websites.
In school, Ross is studding at higher level in Media Studies, English and Business Management. Last year he studied Philosophy, Information Systems, Geography and English.
Ross also enjoys writing in the third person.
