  Just hang tough. remember that in time, the pain will dull. Remember the good, forgive the past, and know that someone out there cares for you. you may not know it yet, but they are there. and until they are you have your loved ones watching over you from above. I would offer hugs and consolation but im a bit far for that. find a close friend and hug them, hugs help alot.

  I agree with both posts above to some capacity. I went through a similar situation last year and it put me in the hospital when all was said and done. Give her space, let her think and have some breathing room. If after a bit you dont hear back, then try just to make a small conversation, baby steps. if you get stonewalled again, then move on. I know that last part sucks but it is an unfortunate part of life. It will hurt like nothing you wnat to feel ever again, and you will be remembering the good times alot. hold those, but move on…its for the best if it gets to that.

  The best advice i can give is this: Talk to him when he’s sober. Don’t complain, calmly explain your issue with the current situation and allow him to answer. He may be dealing with the stress of the situation too, just not in the way you are. If you don’t like the response he gives you when he is sober, then make your decisions based on that. You need to decide what will be best for you…staying with him because you love him even though you cannot stand your situation, or putting your foot down, moving out, and hoping he will follow. Choices like these are hard, but you need to decide who is number one in your life at this point and if you are willing to sacrifice your comfort and happiness for him.

  a counselor would probably be able to help you. i can only offer this. i am in the same kind of boat with my brother, albeit we took different paths in life. i went to the military he went to college. he has the model body, i lost mine in physical rehab (although im not horrible looking i admit). it is good to have someone to check your perspective against, but you need to measure your self esteem based on how happy you are with yourself and not if you are getting all the attention. who knows…maybe youre just sending the wrong signals? i can help maybe once you give a few more details on your situation, but thats up to you.
