• I had a question about my son.
  

  Our hill is too high to do a ramp we have already checked into it. Also we do not have the money to finish off the basement. With my husband working 1st and 2nd shift we are still strapped for money. Its just a tough situation. Thats why i was curious if there were people that has special programs for this. Thanks alot for all the suggestions! Its nice to know people care!!

  My front door is on the kitchen/living room level but its getting up to that is the problem. We are set up on a hill. We have to go up 15 stairs to get to that level. The lower level is a garage and unfinished basement. We have talked to a few therapy people and they all say there is no way unless we get an eleavator. frankly its not worth it and they all say we should move.

  yeah and hes too little for the lift yet. the ones i have seen you have to sit by yourself.
  as far as the first floor..its the basement and garage. thats all thats down there. The only time that he is in his bedroom is at night. usually he spends his time in the living room or dining room with us.

  My son is a special needs child. If you have problems with work you may be able to take FLMA. My mom has done that when she watched my daughter while my son was in surgery. Also look for a probono lawyer. that may help financally. If your low enough income medicaid will help pay for someone to take care of the child. They told me that i could have hid grandma watch him as long as its in her home. then they will pay her. Also look into SSI. we get a bit over 600 a month becasue of my sons disablility.
