  One thing us aussies pride our selves on is our lay back style…..not the stuffy english version your trying to put over. When I meet people i always say g’day….

• I just got served with a subpoena to appear in front of a grand jury.
  

  The charges that you are to testify about are totally unrelated to what Steve above is talking about……That is more of a domestic violence nature.
  I have today checked with a few top lawyers in our firm who have all said the same thing. Unless you have a serious medical condition and are unable to attend that court date ,you will be required to supply a medical report from your medical practioner.
  Failing that you will have to report as directed , worst case being you could be considered a hostile wittness if you are not agreeable to testify.
  The other thing also to consider is speaking to the DA’s office and finding out if you are still required.
  Sometimes a defendant may change his plea to guilty…..if thats the case you wont be required.

  My eldest son is doing his final year 12 , Im very proud of him for at least getting this far , And like you hes finding it very hard.
  You really need to get back on track….this thing with your mother is an irratation to you , it will pass dont worry about it , your mums stressing for you because she loves you , she hasnt any idea how to reach out to you because she didnt have the same opportunity that you have , so how could she possibly know.
  Just stop stressing and put all your energy into doing well…..set up a timetable of home work for yourself and stick to it. Get motivated and mean business….This is your last shot. You really need to get this right.
  And when you get a quiet moment give your mum a hug and tell her all’s well.

  Dont scare the poor person…..while its definately an offence to copy certain material its very unlikely that a big corporation are going to hunt you down for downloading or copying a single game.
  It would be a different situation if you had a backyard operation that was selling downloaded software or movies etc to the general public , then id think you would have a problem.
