thats the U.S. for you. the economy is rough right now in my state, especially for new comers to the career market like me. Obviously being 22 i don’t have a 15 year work history or a degree yet so i can’t be making big bucks like some people. But im trying the economy and employers make this whole process much harder. - written 1 year, 10 months ago
Not yet its been very VERY tough. my father whom i had been living with while going to college got laid off shortly after from his company he worked for, for 25 years. which is not causing me to have to move out on my own for the first time. Rent is insane right now because of the housing crisis, gas is killer, and food costs are going up. I don’t know how i will survive but i’ll try to find a way. btw almost no programs for students to help with income struggles. Washington state is an at will state in the U.S. meaning they can fire you for anything and it doesn’t really matter as long as they don’t specify something which is illegal ( which in my case walks the line of illegal ). This makes it tough to keep a job since alot of business thrive on turnover. most employers won’t tell you why they are firing you they just say ” its not working out”. I have sent tons of resumes out and applied for many many jobs. - written 1 year, 10 months ago
