I agree! We are all creatures/victims of circumstance, surroundings, and subjectification. We are born w/o prejudice and somewhere along the way ideas and ideals are inflicted upon us. Who first said thin looks better than fat, or nights are for sleeping and days for working, or hell, that perfume smells sweet and crap stinks! Depending on where you’re from and sometimes how you were raised, some things seem more important or real to you than others. There is a show called My Sweet 16, and these kids yell at their parents about spending ‘only’ 6 million dollars instead of 7 mill. In their world that is a huge deal and the agony they feel is very real to them because they were raised around lots of money. Now to me that seems silly, shallow, and ungreatful because I was raised differently. A 6 mill. dollar party is not on my list of priorities, bills are! I will admit shoes are a big deal to me and the people I know. But while I’m sulking because I didn’t get the shoes that just came out, some homeless person goes w/o food. In their world nikes and high heels mean nothing. And when I stop and think it shouldn’t in my world either, if I died now my shoes would mean nothing. But because I was raised around shoe feaks and was shopping before I could talk… well you know. I wasn’t born loving shoes and stuff but along the line I picked it up. Some are into hair and nails, but does that really matter or was it an idea introduced to that indivdual that over time became important. Half of what we obsess over doesn’t really matter and can only get you down if you let it. Some gripe about gas prices others just deal, perception is everything. And even when you do grow up and change what matters to you, that means somewhere you traded one idea that was intrduced to you for another, probably based on something you saw or heard. But who says one is more important. There are always exceptions though. **** I’m tired

I’ve gone through the same type of abuse and it’s strange how women who go through this end up with guys who do some of the same things we find so awful even w/o knowing he’s that type. This is why prayer is so important. not religion but God and prayer as much as we may want to help you nobody can really help with mental anguish. Trust me I still suffer from severe depression, and no person can heal your mind you have to seek God like I’m starting to do
