Hey, please make sure that before tuesday 00:00 gwt I have your entry for the competition.
Send it preferably by email (in .jpeg) or give me the url of where you uploaded it (flickr, photobucket or anything).
Preferably that you mail it though, than I can resize if needed a bit so they are all similar in size.

I am not gonna be harsh on 5 minutes, but not gonna wait for hours either! =)

Looking forward to see the work! Once I have them all I make a poll and announce the voting to start. Please do invite many people to cast their vote.

But like I said there, sure the world has a lot of heartache, evil and all the rest. But you gotta look at the beauty in it too. I see no evil in the eys of a puppy, or the rain drops among the trees(and in England I get a *lot* of rain!). The world is a wonderful place if you know where to look =)

The Competition.

It is quite easy. Make a piece of art. Any way you like it.
Only rule is to incorporate the three pictures somehow. They have to be recognisable.

Add stuff, remove stuff, change colours, whatever you find that works, do it.
As long as there is a piece of each picture left in some way.

That is the deal. Competition closes 15.07 (tuseday) at 00:00 GMT.

Preferably you upload the picture in a photobucket account or a flickr or something and give me the url, but you can also mail it too me.

I put all the entries together in a poll and there is a 48hr poll to decide the winner.

Winner gets eternal bliss. =)

Well, I would recomend communication courses, mostly the beginner “Introduction to public speaking class” or like “effective oral communication” Also, take an argument class, that certainly won’t hurt you.

And see if your school has a speech team, I’m sure they’d be willing to give you some pointers or let you sit in on some speeches or something to that effect.

No-one on this site, at leats not yet luckily. Just other people in my life, unrequited love always sucks.
But yeah good to brush off negativety, because its never nice to dwell on things.

Nooo you couldn’t be more wrong! If you got on my nerves I would tend not to reply at all. I really enjoy posting because you listen to what I say and appreiciate it. It makes the whole thing really worthwhile for me, people like you are the reason I stay on this site =)

If I seem “old for ym years”, I guess its because I talk from my heart, and its taken a fair few hits as of late, so aged nicely. Its all good though, made me grow as a person.

As long as you don’t let that one misunderstanding prevent you from speaking your mind. People will take everything the wrong way at some point, you know you didn’t mean to hurt her, and she knows it. So don’t feel bad!

Aww I’m sorry to read that, makes me sad! If you ever want to talk one on one I’d be more than happy. I sometimes feel like crying myself, I like to take sad songs, and they make me fele better about my own situation.

No not at all! I just have a big neurosis that what I do or say will hurt other people all the time. Don’t sound like a cry baby at all, it is good to talk about your problems.
Not least because many people can relate to what you say and feel better about themselves for it!

Hey! Reading my reply on your post it reads to me like I was saying “take yourself less seriously!” but I really didn’t! I love your responses and its great to know things I want to change about myself are shared by others.
What I meant by take yourself less seriously, is when you are thinking about taking things the wrong way, just have a little laugh, and tell yourself that they proberly meant it well.

It wasn’t an insult at all, though I doubt you even saw it that way! Just had to explain for my own sanity. Sorry for any confusion and the crazy shout!

Yes i doubt it too. Religion tend to have that affect on people lol. If it werent for you and Aviatrix i wouldnt have contributed. Your advice was wise and made her think she was brainwashed for a sec. I found that rather amusing lol

thank you for your comments on that post, they were all so very eloquent and naturally accurate. People like that d-11 drive me crazy. I don’t profess to know it all about black relations… that would be impossible for me as a white man. But I’m at least open to hearing it. s/he just didn’t really know any facts… just feelings. Sorry case :(

Anywho. I’ve always kind of known about existentialism - I’ve been interested in it since I was about ten. But just recently I told my teacher at the school I go to [an alternative school] to teach a class on it, so I was allowed to delve deeper into the school of thought.

It’s a very logical theory, which is why I’ve always had an interest in it - finding myself to be fairly logical myself. BUT. There’s only one problem. At first, the theory will most likely swallow you whole, leading you to believe that nothing really DOES matter, and why live?
But eventually, if you stick through it and gather text from other philosophers, you come to a conclusion all on your own.
Which I suppose I won’t share, since that journey is your own.
I guess what I’m saying is: Be careful.
