Why is it that you want to leave so badly?

I’m not gonna tell you you’re too young or rant at you about anything like that, I’ll just tell you that local car auctions are usually the best solution when you are on a budget. Usually auctions have sites where you can see what is up for sale well in advance of the auction, at which point you can research which car from the group would be best for your needs.

Alternatively, there are used car sites, as well as a variety of places where you can look into bartering for a ride.

If it was just you wanting to escape I would recommend www.couchsurfing.com.

I hope before you take any big steps you think about how much your life is going to change, I escaped from my small town 4 years ago, and I already regret it. Sometimes it’s nice to have a community, it doesn’t exist in big cities.

I don’t think art is a trade where I live..

It’s scary, college is expensive, and it’s especially scary when you don’t know what you’ll be doing on the other end.

My family has always had a hard time with money, and it’s been my goal for a long time to just stay stable, can I do that as an artist? or an art teacher? (which i like the idea of, thanks mills)

I think he has to realize it on his own, the only way you can help is to give him a shock to his system, and I think that leaving him is the only thing that will help him to get back onto the proper track, maybe then he will see what he really values in life.

If you don’t feel “socially perfect” than your normal, nobody feels they say everything right all the time. If you feel like your social group doesn’t like you than find someone who makes you feel like you don’t need to try.
As for the sadness, take a breath, have a bath, do anything that makes you feel at home in yourself. If you can’t be happy with your friends, be happy on your own. Then, once you find that one thing that makes you 100% happy in your own self, then go out and find others who enjoy the same thing. For me it’s painting, I love it, maybe you should give it a try? If you haven’t already that is.

Tell him exactly how you feel, and if nothing changes than he isn’t worth it. He seems to value laziness more than love, and if that’s the case than so be it, it’s not your job to perpetually put up with his mothers insanity.

Ask yourself why your with him, that’s all you can do for now.

Yeah, I have the same problem in my life. Don’t worry about it if he is understanding though, he is there to be your kickstand.

Its natural, it happens to me all the time actually, the only thing you can do is take a step back, a deep breath, and move on. Just close your eyes and think about why you’re feeling the way you are.
Also, if your boyfriend was any sort of man, he would take the mood swings with stride and hold you in his arms when it’s needed. Just explain to him that you are confused and need help.

I understand how you feel, the same thing happened to me not so long ago. You just need to see the bigger picture.
You should be happy she is no longer yours, because she makes you feel this pain, and because she is trying to be happy in her own life, you should do the same.
Just be thankful that she is upfront and honest with you. A lot of women, myself included, aren’t strong enough to even leave in the first place.

I don’t feel right either, sometimes I wake up with an overwhelming sadness which I can’t explain. It helps me to talk it over with strangers over the internet apparently though. =)
