  It’s disturbing to see the general mentality of people in the world today. So self-centered. All we can do is pray for them. I finally figured out how to navigate around this site, so I looked at your profile - VERY impressive I must say! They must be crazy to treat YOU so poorly! I had a Grandfather who was a Col. in the Air Force. He was a Pilot flying a B52 across the Atlantic Ocean in WW2 - the only one in his “group”? to survive that mission. I believe he went to Normandy too??? DOn’t quote me on that, but I’m pretty sure. He had LOTS of great stories to tell. I could never imagine treating him as if he didn’t matter. I think there’s some jealousy among your crowd. I’m sure you have a lot of very interesting experiences you could share with your family as well… My son would LOVE to hear them! Too bad my Grandpa is gone now, or he’d love to share himself. I’m glad to hear you have a new step-daughter that appreciates you. Those others don’t know what they’re missing!!! Have a Great Day! =)

  OH, I forgot to mention: The part about the step-daughter and Rasputin was hilarious! I’m still laughing because it reminds me of my sister and her BF… He doesn’t fully appreciate what he has in her, and she bends over backwards for him. The thing is, SHE is totally gorgeous, and could get ANY man she wants, IF she only knew it. Instead, she puts up with this one who treats her like a convenience store. Sad.

  WOW! I can’t believe their nerve. They sound like they don’t even respect themselves, much less you OR their OWN MOM!?! You sound like an intelligent, caring person who they should feel so lucky to have around. THEY on the other hand, sound as if they have some issues. Perhaps some “personal” issues with themselves. Maybe even some insecurity and immaturity to boot!? I’m truly sorry these are the type of people you happen to be surrounded by. I will pray they wake up and smell the coffee and start treating you better. It’s THEIR loss. Meanwhile, I hope you find a good person to share your life with. You have a lot to offer. Hang in there.   I agree with you. It was rude, disrespectful, and flat-out mean! I think some good advice for you to think about when considering “rejoining” this family would be to stop listening to what they say, and just watch what they do. Actions speak louder than words, and their actions say they don’t care what you OR your son think or feel. You sound like a considerate person, and I’d say move on…sorry, just my opinion. She sounds mean! =) Heck, THEY sound mean!!! ;)
