  might be able to reload your windows but if it’s a bios-based password you’re pretty much screwed
  heard you can take out the CMOS battery for awhile and replace hdd with new one, but that’s only a rumor i heard and i’ve never had to try it myself… so if you wanna try that, i’d suggest asking around to see if anyone else has heard that as well…

  IAMDUSTIN- open case and make sure light on motherboard is being lit. if everthing works and no visiable damage done by surge, then try replacing CMOS battery (the one on motherboard that looks like a watch battery or kind you find in keyless entry remotes for cars)should have type etched on it, should be cheap but only done after throughly inspecting board for damage, hate to make you waste your time if you have any circuit damage. (FYI- CMOS batteries USUALLY last longer than the life of the computer, but i personally have run into serveral computers that had bad CMOS batteries for some reason, most wouldn’t start at all, and one would actually get stuck in a reboot cycle that could only be ended by cutting power to it.)

  hmmm… that’s strange. have you checked your power supply?(i prefer Antec) if it’s OE and you’ve added drives/video card/ etc.. then you could be working it harder than normal. (first thing that usually goes on my comps) also check fan, never head of it keeping comp in standby due to a bad one, but u never know. honestly, the amount of hours before it failed doesn’t really matter, my compaq is usually on for weeks at a time then in standby, and even turned off for days and it always cranks up fine.
  
  might even be a corruption in windows, orange light means the hard drive is being accessed(on mine), try making it the master and see what happens… if so, you can try a repair/fix or reinstall it. if it won’t allow you, slave the drive, archive ur data, and format that sucker and start over.
  
  what size is ur system drive? i have several big drives, 250GB, 320GB, 2X400GB, 2X500GB, and a 1.5TB but i’d never use any of them for a system drive…
  my system drive is a 60GB, i wouldn’t recommend anything over 120GB, but that’s just my opinion.(BTW- i only use 320GB and 1.5 TB in my system, others are external and can be powered on externally when needed)

  never personaly messed with .drg files, but i know some programs like Nero will allow you to convert files. there might be other free ones on the net

• Whats are the best little details you love about horror games/movies?
  

  i liked eternal darkness for the gamecube (not sure if on other platforms)
  it used lighting and music along with a sanity meter that reacts to sounds and situations in the game (another words, if you hung around in a room with something scratching at the door and moaning, after a while you’ll start tripping and imagine you’re being killed or trapped or other crazy stuff like that.)

• When I start up my computer (Vista) it tells me that windows explorer isn’t responding.
  

  look at the newest programs you installed to see if that would affect the boot sequence, but on the surface it kinda sounds like a faulty driver is being loaded, then explorer locks up and windows automatically loads a default driver for whatever it is. try checking your device manager for any prob.s
