Hi, my name is Michael, and my biggest interest is in jazz music. I go to Dreyfoos School of the Arts for school, and during the summer I go to Interlochen Arts Academy. I play alto saxophone. I own a Selmer Reference 54: Hummingbird. The Reference 54 was loosely based off the original Selmer Mark VI, considered to be among the best playing saxophones in the world. Selmer, nearly thirty years after taking the Mark VI off the market, saw how many people were craving one, and created the Reference 54, which looks/plays nearly identical to the Mark VI. The Reference 54: Hummingbird, however, was a limited edition. It plays the same as a normal R54, but it has a hummingbird carved into the bell in tribute to Charlie Parker. There are only 1000 in the world.

Favorite Trumpet players: Clifford Brown, Miles Davis, Louie Armstrong, Chet Baker, Dizzy Gillespie, Freddie Hubbard, Wynton Marsalis.
