Again, you have not said whether or not you have been to a non-organic commercial dairy farm in the US. And no, it is not about racially dividing - it is a matter of demographics and government.
Your government is very aptly against genetically engineered hormones in their corn, so I would assume that is also true for their dairy, but I have not been over there, so I don’t know for sure. Neither have I done much research about the dairy farms in the UK.
On the other hand, it is true that there are dairy farms over here who raise free-range cows, and milk them humanely. As I have stated before, I am not vegan, nor am I even a vegetarian. I am all for dairy farms who treat their cattle with respect (devoid of synthetic hormones). I enjoy cheese and milk and butter - everyday.
Unfortunately, organic free range farms are not the only farms in existence. Commercial dairy farmers - who are not organic dairy farmers - inject rBGH into their cattle in order to force them to produce more milk. More milk means more milking. More milking means increased infection to the utters. Even if they are able to remove the dead tissue, they still load them with antibiotics to reduce the bacteria growth from the infection. (They do it with chickens too - just 20 minutes up the road from where I live - the hormones, I mean, and keep them in one spot all the time)
What makes you think it’s impossible? Do your children get sick after they drink regular milk? Have you seen the decline in general health? I’m sure you haven’t. You are lucky enough to have a government who cares more about its people than money. And they have kept the drugs away from the cattle.
I am not making this up or reading some internet hype. It is a well known fact that our government (the US Federal Government) allows (even encourages) dairy farmers to inject their cows with unhealthy, synthetic hormones - approved by the FDA. Must I provide you with the News articles?
It is also very well known that dairy cows spend their entire days trapped in a tiny stall, unable to move.
Since you have so adamantly defended the decency of dairy farmers, I would like to assume that you do not share in that practice. But not everyone has the same virtues as you.
By the way, insulting me for disagreeing with you does not make you look smart.

What makes you think I’m uninformed? Because you’ve never seen it with your own eyes?
I do not make a habit of forming erroneous claims, the likes of which I have not researched or do not have intimate knowledge. I do, however, research the facts and educate myself in order to know what is happening in the world around me.
For your information, the one that I had the “privilege” of seeing with my own eyes was a few years back in the state of Wyoming. I’m sorry, I do not have the “name” of it off hand, but I was only explaining what I saw - hundreds of cows, huddled together in one small place, not moving, no grass for miles. I also grew up across the dirt road from a different dairy farm in Texas. So, yes, I’ve seen things for myself - with my own eyes, so I will attest to that - again.
Do I need to say it again? I live in Texas. ‘Nuff said. Have you ever been to a commercial dairy farm in the US? Are you so sheltered that you have turned a blind eye to the truth when it does happen? Or are you just afraid that it might actually be true?
What is wrong with you? This is real. It happens. So don’t sit up there from wherever you are in the UK, and assume that things aren’t happening because they’re not right in front of your face.

I don’t know what’s going on in the UK, but here in the US, the people in charge only care about making money. I’m not a vegan, but I’ve seen these dairy farms myself, and by what I’ve read about the antibiotics and the pus and blood (which only makes sense considering that the cows are hooked up to machines all day and milked until they bleed!) — not to mention that they stand in the same place for hours everyday without a toilet break or sewage - therefore standing in their own waste which is inevitably soaked back into their own bodies. No wonder they can barely walk at the age of 5 years when they’re sold at auction! It’s enough to disgust me into vegan-ism - something I’ve never once considered before. Do the research - even pasteurized milk (sans hormones) has its drawbacks. If I had my own cow, I would drink milk, but I don’t trust big farming industries anymore.
