I can’t give it more time… the pressure is too great… I am NOT one who overeacts. I’m also no drama queen. I don’t have fits when my parents tell me I can’t go to the movies or ask me to do a few chores. It’s just… IMPOSSIBLE here. I sometimes cry it’s so bad. I wish someone would just knock on my door and tell me I’m adopted or something and take me away. I NEED TO MOVE OUT ASAP.

I’m not exaggerating when I say they’re dictatorial (they’re type “A” helicopter parents). I’m not allowed to do anything or go anywhere, even though I live in probably one of the safest towns in America, and I constantly get screamed at for ridiculous things.
What they accuse me of… urgh, it’s hard to think of something SPECIFIC. Little things like I don’t tell them my plans (which I make a point of to do, usually 3 or more days in advance), but far more serious things as well… Even other adults, ones who are also fairly restrictive, are shocked by the tight reins my parents have on me.

I’m not saying they don’t care, but they’re extremely dictatorial. The fighting is ridiculous (and note that I’m not usually the one fighting — I have very good control of my temper, unlike most of the people in my house), and I feel like I’m suffocating under their strict rule.
Talking doesn’t do much with them… They’re also very manipulative, and twist things around so it’s never their fault/resposibility (I’m not saying I haven’t screwed up, but they all too often deflect blame that is rightfully theirs)..

Whoops, that’s me above.

The college I want to go to is $23,000 a year.. not bad but not good. Also I will be switching jobs this summer because I need training in a certain area before I can go to this college (I’m hoping I’ll earn more than I currently do).
One more BIG THING: I go to a private school. My parents pay in full in advance, so by the time I move out I won’t have to worry about paying the school. My question is, though, do you think that they can or will pull me out of the school when I move out, even though they’ve already paid everything and I’ll already be in the third quarter of the school year? I’m scared they might, even though it’s unreasonable since they can’t get any money back… Should I maybe wait until right after I graduate? I really DON’T want to wait. If you lived here you’d understand…

2009-07-15 18:42:23 on This is a little late…
Oh my goodness! That’s so great! I’ve always wanted to have twins (well, preferably after college). ^_^ You’re in for a real ride. Good luck!
2009-07-01 11:35:26 on Today in class we covered a subject a little close to the heart..
I am Catholic, but I feel controversial about the in virto fertilization issue. On one hand, it isn’t what God intended, but on the other, a family is given the gift of a child (or children). Whether or not IVF is sinful, you are definitely not a sin. Every child is a gift no matter how they came into the world.
2009-05-29 12:30:22 on I’m back..
Hiya! Welcome back. The morning sickness, btw, is actually a good thing. It means your baby has a healthy environment to grow in… which is kind of ironic considering how sick it makes you feel! The length of time you’ll have morning sickness can vary wildly… Lasting anywhere from a few weeks to the entire duration of the pregnancy (like your friend up there had). Some people have been lucky enough to not get it at all!
Anyway, glad to see you’re back and to hear you’re doing much better. Hugs and kisses to your future bundle of joy!
2009-05-06 16:52:54 on I’m taking a break.
Goodbye for now, I know we’ll meet again. If this is what you need, I fully encourage it. Just don’t lock yourself in a dark room with all your problems, if you know what I mean. Take the reins! And good luck!

Woops. Sorry, that’s me above.
2009-05-03 15:53:05 on What are some good children’s books?
My favorites as a little kid were “The Big Red Barn” and “Leo, the Late Bloomer”. ‘Course, I’m also writing a children’s book right now to be considered in a contest. ^-^ If I win, I’ll suggest it to you.
