Late one night I started looking out the window, this night was different, for it was darker than normal… I stared with intensity, then a FLASH! Lightning shot through the sky and I heard a loud CRASH! I covered my ears, holding my eyes shut as tight as they would go, and hummed to myself. “go away… go away… dont come back another day… go away” I whispered to myself. CRASH! FLASH! CRASH! I wimpered more and made myself look up, just in time for another FLASH! Quickly I took my blankets and wrapped them around me, making a place only for me, somewhere to be safe. I curled up in a little ball, and closed my eyes, now the horrible crashing and flashes were dieing down. I sighed a sigh of relief and hummed a new song. “Its gone now, I can sleep, dreams that only I can keep, now I know that I am kept, in my spot that I have wept… hmmmm hmm hm hm, hmmmm, hmm, hm, hm, Dream of dreams only I can keep” Slowly I fell into my dream world, a place of safety for me.
